Chapter 7

At the high school, William had directed Roman through an ear piece  as he climbed on the roof. He looked down through the glass ceiling into  the gym. Roman removed his back pack and took out the gadget William  had provided him with. He hooked it onto a lack on the roof just as he  had been taught.

In the gym, Sasha was getting light  headed as Bray watched her in amusement. Mickie was fixing her hair in  hopes of seeing Trish. Outside, RHPD were arriving on the scene.  Somehow, Renee had managed to sneak into the school, hoping to get a  look at the kidnappers faces. But suddenly, the glass ceiling of the gym  shattered as a man with a mask slid down on a rope. He landed on his  feet right in front of Alexa and Sasha. He pointed a gun at Bray but he  was clearly out numbered.

"Roman, what's going on in there?" William asked over the earpiece.

Roman began to panic as Mickie and Bray surrounded him. Renee hid herself behind the gym door and watched what was happening.

"Here goes nothing." Roman said to himself.

Alexa  and Sasha watched as Mickie lunged at Roman. He ducked threw a punch at  Bray, hitting his directly in the face. Next, Roman grabbed a pair of  handcuffs out of his bag and cuffed Bray. Mickie kicked Roman across the  face taking him off guard. He held his jaw for a moment before fighting  back. He threw a punch but she ducked. Roman tried for another punch  but Mickie was able to kick him across the face again, this time busting  his nose open.

"Ah!" Roman yelled out as he held his face.

"That's all you got superman?" Mickie asked.

Roman  now lunged forward and grabbed her arm aggressively, twisting it behind  her back as he cuffed her hands. Renee was taking as many notes as she  could but something about the man in the mask intrigued her. He walked  over and took the tape off of Sasha and Alexa's mouths before untying  them. Alexa rushed over to help Sasha.

"Um.." Alexa tried to  think as Roman hit an odd button on his belt. The rope automatically  pulled Roman up,  through the ceiling. Renee watched in disbelief at  what she had just seen. Alexa was shaking as she struggled to rip off a  piece of her gown. Sasha was struggling to keep her eyes open as Alexa  tied the ripped piece of her dress around her wound to stop the  bleeding. Alexa helped her out of the chair and put Sasha's arm around  her as she tried to carry her out of the gym. The police were in the  process of surrounding the building when Alexa walked out holding up  Sasha.

"Help! She needs help!" Alexa screamed out.

A  few medics rushed to help the girls as Trish lead Miz and Shawn into  the school. What they didn't expect was to find Mickie and Bray already  handcuffed.

"What the hell?" Shawn asked.

Trish immediately made eye contact with Mickie.

"There's my beauty queen." Mickie tried to flirt.

"Get them out of here." Trish told the guys.

Phil was waiting eagerly to get a quote from the detectives when Renee walked up beside him.

"What are you doing here? I thought you were working the Reigns murder?" Phil asked.

"Yeah  well.. I think I can manage more than one story." Renee said as she  looked to the roof for the man in the mask. Unfortunately for her, he  was nowhere to be found.

Within the next half hour, things began to calm down. Alexa was trying her best to keep Sasha company while the medics patched her up in the back of the ambulance.
