Chapter 5

Just on the edge of town, Carmella and Miz were about to go undercover at the private party being held by the Defiance

"Just follow my lead." Miz told her as they approached the line to get inside.

Carmella rolled her eyes and took a step forward.

"Names?" Aubrey Edwards asked.

"Carmella Van Dale. This is my date." She said.

Aubrey looked over the guest list.

"I don't see your name." Aubrey told her.

Suddenly, Isiah Kassidy approach.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa. Did you say Carmella Van Dale?" Isiah asked.

"That's right." She told her.

"You're the girl that hacked into RHPD's server and shut down the security system during the Defiance Raid?" Isiah asked.

Miz looked at her in disbelief as she let out a smile.

"Guilty as charged." Carmella said unfortunately, knowing that Captain Stratus and Detective Michaels were listening in through her ear piece.

"Damn! Let them in, Aubrey." Isiah said.

Miz shook his head in frustration as he began to follow Carmella into the party.

"You are so getting arrested after this." Miz whispered to her.

Back at Reigns Enterprise, Dean had just arrived at the event. He may have had a few drinks before coming in but he showed up for Roman. Cody and Brandi were talking with Dustin while Stephanie and Hunter gave them occasional glances. Adam and the other members of the Undisputed Era were keeping a look out for the McMahon's in case anything went down. Everyone turned their attention to the entrance as Roman walked in with William by his side. Seth left the McMahon's group and walked over to greet Roman just as Dean did.

"Wow. I never thought I'd see the two of you in the same room together again." Roman said as he smiled out at his guests.

"We're here for you man." Seth told him.

"Always." Dean added as they each stood by his side.

Upstairs, on the balcony level overlooking the main lobby, Becky walked in as the song, "You Should See Me In a Crown" by Billie Eilish came on.

Bite my tongue, bide my time
Wearing a warning sign
Wait 'til the world is mine

She walked through the crowd on the upper level as everyone gave her unpleasant glances. Jay White and The Bullet Club kept their distance. Chris Jericho on the other hand seemed a little curious about Becky's presence tonight.

Visions I vandalize
Cold in my kingdom size
Fell for these ocean eyes

Becky looked out at the the party just as Roman glanced up and saw her standing there.

You should see me in a crown

Stephanie and Hunter both took notice of Becky, along with Cody, Brandy, and nearly everyone else that she had made enemies of.

I'm gonna run this nothing town

"Who's that girl?" Roman asked curiously as the room went silent in Becky's presence.

Becky stared down directly at Roman from the balcony.
