Jayden watched as Tori missed another three point. He was confused as she had shown to be fail-proof all of last week. He was discussing with Cameron and Traveon but his mind kept going back to her. She threw the basketball in anger before putting her headphones on.
"Jay you listening?" Traveon called, snapping his fingers in his friend's face.
"Uh, yeah. I'll be right back."
He walked off before they could ask any questions. As Tori was about to shoot again, Jayden slapped the ball out of her hands. She whipped her head in his direction and looked so mad that he swore he heard her growl. She slid her headphones off as he stood there with a smug smile.
"What the fuck do you want?!" she hissed.
It could've just been him, but it seemed like her pretty brown eyes had lost their sparkle. They usually looked bright and fierce, but that day they just looked dark and dull.
"Woah damn. I was just wondering what was up with you."
"Why?" she asked tapping on her phone screen.
He too didn't know exactly why. Was maybe feeling guilt from putting her in such a crappy mood? He also wondered if it had to do with the small scars on her arms and legs.
But wether he liked it or not, Tori taunting him and getting on his nerves has become part of his routine. After a long time of wishing she'd stop, he realized that he somewhat felt like something was missing now that it did.
"Cause you've been acting differently since Friday."
"Nigga this planet doesn't revolve around you. If I'm pissed I'm pissed and you ain't got nun' to do with."
He raised his eyebrows. "Okay then."
"What's it to you anyways?" Tori asked.
"I guess I kinda missed the competition."
She let out a small laugh. "You mean the only person better than you."
"Yeah whatever. You don't play as well when you're moody, I guess I also missed the taunting."
"Okay so now what?" she asked, crossing her arms "You gon' tryta cheer me up?"
"You say that like you don't believe me."
He stepped closer to her and licked his lips. Suddenly his earlier fantasies came back.
"I can make you happy."
She pushed him in the chest. "How? You're leaving?"
"Okay, ha ha."
She laughed some more, this time looking genuinely happier than earlier.
"Aight, imma leave you but I want my enemy back." Jayden said.
"Okay broccoli head, your white ass can evaporate." she joked.
"Your wish is my command Miss burnt spaghetti head."
He walked off, leaving her to laugh on her own. The gym teacher walked in and blew her loud screeching whistle. Jayden looked back and saw that Tori had just scored a three-point. He smiled to himself and joined the rest of the students.

Jayden exited the gym with his bag swung onto his shoulder. He saw a face he didn't want to see, frowned and made his way back to the gym. She sadly got to him before he could disappear.
"Hey Jayden, I'm back from my suspension." Cassandra purred and grabbed onto his arm.
Meet Cassandra, the blonde bitch. She claims she's naturally blonde but everyone can see that her roots are brown. Always wearing short mini skirts (probably two sizes down), crop tops (no matter how many times she gets dress coded), and a hundred layers of makeup. Most of all, she wears too much pink and other flashy colours. Being girlie is okay, but forcing yourself to be an Elle Woods/Regina George/Sharpay Evans is just too much.
"Congrats." he replied flatly and pushed her off.
"Didn't you miss me?" she asked, batting her eyelash extensions.
"Not at all."
He walked off as she just stood there in shock. Cassandra quickly caught up to him afterwards and Jayden didn't try to hide his groan of annoyance. She appeared in front of him in a blink of the eye, and leaned on his chest.
"I have a special treat for you that I'm sure you won't refuse." she whispered, purposely brushing her lips against his ear.
It didn't faze him, especially since it was coming from her. They weren't really a thing: he "went out" with her just so they would sleep together, but she wanted an actual relationship. He got what he wanted, although it wasn't as enjoyable as he thought it would be, but she wasn't satisfied.
"You had your chance and you blew it." Jayden told her "Leave me the fuck alone."
Cassandra's hand travelled from his chest, to his stomach, to above his dick. "You sure about that dadd-"
"Don't."
Jay grabbed her wrist and raised it to her face. He gave her the most stern look he could master, slightly squeezing her. Her eyes widened in fear so he let her go and walked off. She didn't bother following that time which relieved him.
Cassandra didn't like the rejection. She knew—she thought—that she was the most attractive girl in school so why was he still declining her? She didn't get lip fillers and spent her summer doing squats just to be ignored. She then frowned, remembered rumours she heard about some new girl who had all his attention.
