Content and media has been changing during this pandemic in different ways.
Talk show hosts are doing shows in their homes without an audience.
iHeartRadio is doing livingroom concerts, ballets are being uploaded to YouTube, Cirque du Soleil is offering free one hour specials, and Andrew Lloyd Webber launched a YouTube channel called "The Shows Must Go On!" that uploads free musical content on Fridays.
I, personally, have used some of the services listed above, and I enjoy the content provided. It got me thinking:
"Beside the good will, and escapism behind it all there must be another reason for it?"
My biggest guess if they do have another reason it would be as you can view their content for free, when a new production/iteration/concert/episode you'll want to support it due to the good will presented. The publicity is the payment.
Maybe, I'm just looking to far into this?
I probably am, and its most likely my quaretine brain talking.
On a more positive note we might as well take advantage of what is available to combat boredom, for escapism, and to see new forms of entertainment.
This was a bit of a shorter entry than usual, but I hope you enjoyed, and maybe by seeing new content you'll enjoy that too!
Hope that you continue to read my updates, and I hope you are and will stay safe.
