(Ben's POV)
Once our festive holiday breaks with our guardians and families were done, I was doing some homework in my room. I was finishing up an assignment on my computer when my computer just burst with electricity! I jumped back and sighed. What just happened? I walked back to my computer and examined it closely. It looks like something dangerous was inside my computer. I sighed and decided to reach Tails. He was the one who helped build my laptop. I contacted the smart fox through my commlink and waited for a moment.
"Oh! Hello Ben! How can I help you? Wait, did Connor do something again?" Tails asked sadly.
"No, for once I am not calling you about him. It is about my laptop. Something happened to it, and I cannot turn it on. Can I bring it to your lab for repairs?" I asked the young fox.
"Oh, well, I can't really do anything with it" Tails said nervously.
I was a bit surprised. Master Yen Sid did say the computer was made by him, Cyrus Borg, Bill, Iron Man, Cid, and the Dr. Hikari.
"I did help with making the laptop along with a few others, but it was Dr. Hikari who really made the laptop" Tails informed me as an image of him appeared on the screen.
I nearly gasped, because he was real. The Dr. Hikari! Ok, I am not a huge video game fan nor player along with Jiwon. However, the two of us have each played a game series we both enjoyed. For me, that was Mega Man Battle Network.
"He's in the world called ACDC City and at Scilab. I wouldn't be surprised if he was there and not at his house" Tails informed me as I nodded my head.
"I'll pay him a visit. Thank you, Tails" I said with a grateful smile.
"No problem. Good luck!" he said as he logged off.
Well, it is time to pay a visit to a new world. I put my broken laptop into my bag as I summoned a portal through my commlink to unlock the keyhole. I crossed over it and found myself in an alleyway. I gasped in awe as the portal disappear and saw the vast city of technology before me. This is amazing! A city vastly run with a connected internet with the other continents and not to mention the NetNavis which help the people in their daily lives. I shook my head. I have to stay on task. If I recalled correctly from the game, I knew how to get to SciLab. I was naturally right and found myself standing outside SciLab. I entered the building and wondered around. I am not too familiar with the insides of the lab though.
"Hey! Who are you and, what are you doing here?" a kind voice asked as I jumped and turned around.
I saw a young teen carrying a box of wires and cords. He had brown hair and wore a blue shirt and black shorts with matching shoes. He looked like he was my age. Wait a minute, this is Hub Hikari!
"Oh, my name is Ben. I am here to ask Dr. Hikari a question" I answered once I composed myself.
"My dad? Ok. My name is Hub. Follow me" he said with a kind smile as he walked towards a room.
We entered the room, and I was just stunned. I saw Mr. Famous and Dr. Hikari working on new technological advancement as we walked up to them.
"Hey dad, you have a visitor" Hub said calmly as he placed the box on a table.
"Oh? Who?" he asked as he looked up from his computer and stared at me, "Oh! You're the Dreamer!"
"The what?" Mr. Famous asked confused as Dr. Hikari stopped what he was doing and rushed up to me.
"I've been wanting to meet you! How are you? Who are you?" Dr. Hikari asked in delight as he looked at me and took my hands in his.
I didn't think he would be this friendly.
