I was terrified. Right now it was 10 in the morning and we were all just sbout to get in the limo to go to the airport. Emilie, Colin, Lana, Robert, Ginnifer, Josh, Oliver and Jared were all at our house. Jared's mom wasn't able to come because his sister, Taylor, was in a horseriding compotion this weekend so Jen was going to be making sure that he was safe until we got back to LA.

It took us about an hour to get to LAX to get the plane to Hawaii. Jen told me before everyone arrived at our house that we would be going on a private plane like when we first came to LA from New York.

When we got on the plane we all took our seats. Jen was sat with Colin, Ginny was sat with Josh and she was holding Oliver as well even though he had a baby seat set up behind them, Lana was sat with Emilie and Bobby was sat all alone in a corner. He was on a laptop so I think he was working. Jared came over and asked if he could sit with me. I didn't see why not, so I said yes.

Just before the plane setoff Jen sent me a text.

J:You and Jared look cosy

R:Leave me alone Jen!

J: Colin agrees with me

I turned around and Jen and Colin were making kissy faces at me and they had got Emilie and Lana involved aswell. I turned around back to Jared to make sure he hadn't seen them. Luckily he hadn't and he was much more interested in which movie he was going to watch compared to whatever Jen and her friends were doing behind us.

We were told after we set off that our flight was going to be 5 hours and 17 minutes long so we had time to watch a movie and even get a bit of a sleep. The pilot told us that when we got to Honolulu it would be about half past 3.

I got a bit scared when the plane was taking off and I think I almost ripped the arm off of the seat. I was clenching my fist so hard that my knuckles started to turn white. Jared grabbed my hand.

"I have been on a plane loads of times, it's going to be okay" He whispered into my ear. I think that time may just be the first time I have ever been told that and actually believed it. We watched a movie on the laptop Jen bought me yesterday at the mall for school. We watched 'Just Go With It'

"hey, that's Bailee Madison. She'son the show sometimes, she plays younger Ginny." He says very excitedly.

"Yeah I know, I have watched the show since it started." I explained "How old is Bailee?"

"Oh she will be 16 in October, so she is pretty much the same age as you, but shw is in my grade at school. Hey, she is coming back on the show next month. She is going to love you" He was so excited about me meeting his friends. "Oh, and my sister is going to love you as well."

We watchedthe rest of the movie in silence and then when it had finished I realised that Jared had fallen asleep, so I went to talk to Jen. She was getting food from the mini fridge and I was pretty hungry so I thought Iwould join her.

Jennifer noticed that I was there "Hey, everyone else is asleep. You should probably sleep too."

"Yeah i'm not the only one. I'm scared. What will people do when they find out that you adopted me."

"That's why I have been keeping you away from the internet since I did adopt you. They already found out. Some woman from your old orphanage told the press. I'm sorry I just wanted to give you a better life. I guess I kind of screwed that up didn't I? I bet the day I adopted you was the worst dayof your life, wasn't it?"

"No. My life was shit.Maybe when we go back we will have to deal with press, but that is better than eing terrified everytime I woke up that I would have to go without food for the day. Mostof the days, unfortunately, that terror was true. You did make my life better. You made it even better than when my parents were actually still around. I lost my parents when I was 10. It was my tenth birthday and we didnt have a lot of money but my birthday was the one good day we ever had. My parents went out to buy this cupcake theygot me every year. The next thing I knew a cop was standing outside my front door telling me that my parents were dead and that I had to into care. That was the worst day of my life. None of these are."

Andfor once in my life, when I looked into her eyes. I didn't see pity or anything like that. I didn't see anything.

"You are an extremely brave kid, you know that?" Jen said it like it was a fact. There wasn't any arguing. I guess maybe I wasn't pathetic. Maybe I was brave instead.
