After a few weeks, Harry had been noticing several missing assignments from Zayn's course load. This led to a drop in Zayn's grade.

"Zayn, can I talk to you for a moment?" Harry said before he could start the class.

Zayn looked tired and yawned as he walked to Harry's desk.

"Yes, sir?"

"Your grade is dropping and looking from the state of," Harry started and looked at Zayn up and down. "Well, you, it seems like school isn't a priority at the moment."

Zayn sighed and scratched his head in embarrassment.

"Look at me," Harry said demanding Zayn raise his gaze from the floor. "You've told me before that you're working, I'm choosing to believe you. Every student's situation is different and I can tell you have a true passion for music so I'm going to help you out." Harry stated and Zayn nodded.

He felt guilty for having this conversation with Harry. Zayn's mom needed some assistance with her medical bills from her last visit to the hospital so he'd started going out with more clients.

But that meant he had less time for Harry's assignments. Harry's extensive assignments.

Zayn realizes this is completely his fault because with time Harry's work was pretty easy. He'd heard his classmates complain before but those were the same kids who dropped out of the competition of working with Harry on the first day.

"Here," Harry said and gave Zayn a folder. He opened it to see a single sheet of paper with a number on it.

"It's my number, just act like it's work and don't show it to people. That's just weird."

"Because giving your number to students isn't." Zayn joked and Harry didn't laugh.

"Sorry," He quickly said. "But I get out of work late, Mr. Styles."

"I'll be awake. Now go, I have to start class." Harry demanded.

"Thanks, Mr. Styles. I'll call you tonight. 'Round 12." Zayn said before turning around and walking to his seat. Harry shook his head.

He doesn't give his number to students. He doesn't let them call him at 12 AM. But then again, he never liked one of his students. He wasn't ever interested in one of them like now.

That night was the start of many late-night phone calls. Some more productive than others, but they were all important to Harry because he learned about Zayn. They developed a close connection over time.

"Hello?" Zayn said.

"Hey, Zayn?" Harry responded.

"Yeah. Hi, Mr. Styles. Were you sleeping?" He asked regretting not having a normal job. It was one in the morning.

"Mhm, but it's okay. D'you need help with something?" Harry asked rubbing his eye and sitting up in his bed.

Zayn thought his voice was adorable and his yawn made him smile.

"Mr. Styles, it's okay. I'll figure it out. You can go back to sleep." Zayn said feeling bad that he had just woken Harry up.

"Zayn, shut up," Harry said and realized it. "M'sorry. But I gave you my number for a reason, you need the help." Harry said and Zayn laughed.

"I take it you do not like to be woken up." Zayn laughed, as did Harry.

Silence fell between the two, Zayn knew he liked Harry. Harry knew Zayn was warming up to him. But he didn't know what to do with that. He knew he liked talking to Zayn.

"So what'd you need help with?" Harry said breaking the silence.

"Oh right, I don't really understand what our essay was supposed to be about. Plus how exactly did you want it structured?" Zayn asked as he made a cup of coffee.
