I'm very proud of you! You all are almost at the Path of Positivity. If it was a class, I'd give everyone an A. Since we're almost at the end, there's some pieces of Coup de Grace left to talk about. That is a quote and a little friendly reminder.
Here's the quote I want to share. I've heard of a quote from a movie most of us heard of and seen before. When Tom Hanks starred in Forrest Gump, his character who's the main role in the movie once said; "Life's like a box of chocolates. You'll never know what you're gonna get." The question is what does this quote mean? The answer is life's full of surprises, you'll never know what to expect. I bet most of you got good surprises, while others got some bad ones, maybe a little bit of both like I have. From this little lesson, it leads to my next question I want to ask you. What do you expect in life? Just a little tip on this, sometimes you should ask yourself the question I asked. It could be anything. Even though, there's times it won't be the things we want, but always try to make the best of it.
Now for the friendly reminder part, it's a story when I was in high school, which is a life lesson we can learn from. During in my days in high school, one day I came to school late, hot tempered, and grouchy. Next was a trip to Mr. Manners' office. He told me a story I never heard of. That is the carrots, the eggs, or the coffee bean? The author of this story is unknown and the theme is adversity. Keep in mind, adversity means a difficulty in your life. Most of us have been through a lot of them everyday. This story taught me about making choices too. Like in one part of the story, I've heard how each item reacted to the water from adversity. For instance, after sitting in the boiling water, the carrots became soft and weak. Before that, it came hard. The egg hada fragile exterior protecting the liquid interior. However, after sitting in the boiling water, it became tough and gave up. When the grounded coffee beans were in their pot of boiling water, it changed the water. Furthermore, the story I read had a question at the end not just for me, but for anybody who read it. The question is when adversity knocks on your door, which are you? The carrot, the egg, or the coffee bean? Then it follows up with; you have a choice to make. If you feel like you're going to give up, I'd recommend that reading the story of the carrot, the egg, and the coffee bean will help you feel better. Not only that reading this glorious story will help you feel better, it will also make you feel positive too. One more thing before ending this topic. After reading the story, you can pray to the Lord. If you don't believe what I believe in, I respect your opinion. So this leads me to this little advice I have to share. You can also talk to someone if you want to stay positive no matter who it is. For instance, your parents, your cousins, any other family members of yours, your best friend, your pet dog? Maybe? There's more on the list, but that was only naming a few who would be more than welcome to lend you their ears so they can listen to your rough days.
