Mari/Ladybug  point of view

She was still crying. Cat Noir was still by her side. Thoughts of betraying him went through her head. She couldn't give in. She wouldn't hopefully.

"LB," he pleaded. "Consider for one moment what would happen to Paris without you."

"You'd have a new hero," she responded, "A capable one."

He shook his head. "It would be destroyed," he told her. "Hawkmoth would win!"

She repeated his gesture. "I need my parents," she told him. "I am nothing without them! Nothing!"

"That's not true!" he exclaimed. "You're a hero!"

"Outside of my choice!" She yelled. "I wanted to give up on day one! But you and Tikki wouldn't let me! You insisted I was the right choice!" Her voice was growing hoarse. "If I was, I could've saved my parents!" He was shocked.

"Ladybug," he told her. "When I first became Cat Noir, I felt free." He remembered it clear as day. "I could finally be who I wanted."

"Cat Noir," she was angry. "My true self is an idiot!" She exclaimed. "Clumsy! Late to everything!" She couldn't forget this. "An Orphan!"

"Ladybug, being parentless is hard." he grabbed her hands in a tight grip. "I basically have no parents. I was alone before I was Cat Noir."

She looked down. What was she thinking? "But what if I betray you?" She asked, scared.

"I won't be able to stop you," he responded.

She gave up. "You almost did as Cat Blanc." She gasped.

"Cat Blanc?" Now, she had to explain a whole other thing. When she didn't know how!

"Wow," he murmured. "Why didn't you tell me before?" He asked.

"I didn't know how," she answered.

"You don't know why I was akumatized?" She shook her head. "You said that I said 'It was out love that did this, Milady.' That means we got together. And Hawkmoth found out." He sighed. "Is this why you are afraid to love me?" She nodded. "What about the other boy?"

"He's..." she hesitated. "My feelings for him are decreasing." She told him.

He nodded. "Maybe after we defeat Hawkmoth." She conceded.

Ladybug was starting to feel better now. Cat Noir understood why she didn't tell him about Cat Blanc. "I need to finish my design." She told him. "Do you want to watch?" He nodded. An hour later, she was finished. He smiled at her technique. It seemed familiar. She yawned, but started on another design. Sleeping meant nightmares. She would never admit it to Cat Noir.

"Ladybug," he interrupted. "I think you should rest for the night." She shook her head. "Do you have nightmares?" She froze, confirming his suspicion.

She sighed and stopped. "I'm fine, Cat Noir," she told him, avoiding the question.

"You do," he said. "I know because of the look you gave when I asked." She sighed. "Tell me about them." he requested.

She bit her lip. "I keep thinking of ways I could have saved them." She explained. "If I had just ditched school, they'd have been mad, but at least alive."
