Miraculous Betrayal

Chapter 4

He couldn't find her, so Alya gave him some advice. "Cat Noir," she said. "Usually, I'd tell you to give her space," she hesitated, "but if she decides to take drastic measures, you might not have the heart to do whatever is necessary to stop her! You might have to hurt her!"

Cat Noir nodded. "I know what you mean. I told her I wouldn't be able to defeat her if she decided to betray me. I'm scared losing someone else has just," he struggled to find the right words, "been the last thin she could take."

Nino responded. "Losing one person is hard," he shook his head. "but losing four people in such a short amount of time is so much more difficult to bare."

"You're right," Cat Noir agreed. "I wish she didn't want to resort to taking both of our miraculous." He shook his head. "There would be a price to pay in return."

Wayzz flew out. "I think you need to visit Master Fu." he told them. "I felt a negative aura come from Ladybug's miraculous."

"So, Ladybug is evil now?" Alya asked.

Wayzz shook his head. "If her emotions run so far, she could choose to do anything to get her parents and grandparents back." He explained. "She's not evil. She may choose to do the wrong thing for the right reason."

Cat Noir nodded. "We have to stop her from choosing the wrong path." He exclaimed. "We won't be able to stop her if she decides to take the miraculous for herself."

Alya nodded. "I think-"

Ladybug was in front of them again. "I'm sorry," she looked angry at her behavior. "I wasn't thinking clearly. I've had time to clear my head." They nodded, silently agreeing to keep an eye on her.

"We have to go, Ladybug." Cat Noir told her. "We'll be back later." She nodded and jumped away. "Now," he turned to Alya and Nino. "Let's go visit Master Fu!" They nodded.

Cat Noir, Alya and Nino knocked on his door and came in, closing the door behind them. "Master," Wayzz told him. "I felt a negative aura coming from the Ladybug Miraculous." 

He gasped. "We must find out how to stop her from choosing this path." They nodded.

"How can we help?" Cat Noir asked. 

"Keep an eye on her, Master Fu answered. "If she betrays you,  she might choose to join Hawkmoth or go against all of you." The heroes nodded. "You will need other miraculous holders." He opened the box. "You may each choose a miraculous to give to someone you trust. They will be permanent members of the miraculous team."

They nodded. Cat Noir chose the goat miraculous to give to  Aurora beaueal. Alya hesitated but chose the bee miraculous to Chloe. She has been nicer and helping others lately. Nino chose the mouse miraculous to give to Mirella. His first choice was Marinette, but she was going throuh the same situation as Ladybug. Alya and Nino transformed and left to recruit the new miraculous holders.

Cat Noir stayed. Master Fu told him, "Adrien, give these miraculous to some others. The monkey miraculous goes to Le Chien Kim. The snake goes to Luka Couffaine. The horse goes to Max Kante. Finally, the dragon goes to Kagami." Cat Noir nodded. He was shocked Ladybug knew all of them. He grabbed them and left. Master Fu, however, was silently begging Ladybug not to betray them.

2 weeks later

Ms. Bustier Point of View

Paris was getting used to having all of the new superheroes protect it on a daily basis. She had many kids leave her class daily. Master Fu had informed her of who was holding each miraculous. Being old friends with the guardian was a good thing. She'd known who Ladybug and Cat Noir were for a long time. They couldn't be more obvious and still they can't find out each others secret identities. She shook her head. "Oblivious Children!" She muttered.

2 weeks later

Adrien's father had been treating Adrien more like a son than an employee for two weeks now. He was even allowed to hang out with friends now! Marinette had been hired by his father two weeks ago. Maybe Marinette had been a good influence on him.

Cat Noir led the rest of the team of heroes to a secluded area. "I think Ladybug has betrayed us." Pegasus said. 

"Why?" Cat Noir asked. 

"Wayzz felt a negative aura coming off her again. More than what Hawkmoth's is." Carapace informed them. Cat Noir looked down. He prayed they were wrong. But it was clear when Ladybug led Hawkmoth to their meeting place, with pain not hidden well behind her eyes.

"I'm sorry," she told him. They were shocked, even though they had theorized this. 

"Ladybug," Cat Noir said in a betrayed voice. She winced.

She interrupted him, her pain obvious in her voice. "I need my parents more than anyone!" She explained, tears falling freely down her face. Cat Noir understood but he wanted to help her in a different way.
