Dear Diary,
Things aren't particularly going to according to plan. I mean, Dumbledore has disappeared and that obnoxious cow Umbridge has taken over the school completely and fully. I mean she's even recruiting for 'Umbridge's army'. Of course Kayla Aston has signed up with her toy boy, Draco.
Kayla seems to think if she follows Draco around and does the same activities as him, he will notice her. Yeah, fat chance of that. Doesn't he know she's only with him because of our 'Competition'? In that respect I do feel sorry for when he does find out and I would seriously want to be around for it.
I mean, things at Hogwarts aren't going particularly well for the Greatest Ravenclaw I'm afraid.. A few months ago Aunt Sybil almost got banished from the school grounds by the evil pink marshmallow and things went downhill for my family after that. Umbridge begun picking on me more in class, she even started interrogating me in the hallways.
Even Aunt Sybil suffered from her wraith; I once found her on the docks, staring deep into the water, debating whether she should jump.
Recently, I have secluded myself from most people other than Dani. I think it's for the best for the time being as my family issues and Umbridge are seriously putting me down.
I'm running out of options,
And I don't know what I'm supposed to do anymore... I just wish there was an easier path to take from here but if there is, I can't see it
With April just around the corner and the 'worst time of year' over with, according to Dani. It's time to focus on more important matters at hand. Of course I mean resuming things with Kayla, how she can think she has a chance in hell against me, she's delusional. It's just hilarious to think of the subject. I closed my diary slowly, thinking about the passage I had just written as I pushed it beneath my pillow.
Despite not actually learning to defend ourselves against the Dark Arts with Umbridge like we were supposed to. I have been attending some of Harry Potter's night study classes inside the Room of Requirement, which were i was headed before I heard the obnoxious shriek that I was slowly becoming familliar with.
"And where are you off to at this time of night, Miss Beaumont?" Umbridge's high pitched voice echoed through the halls like a cat's yowling. I felt my bones shift at the sound and at once I felt sorry for her husband. That is, of course, IF she has a husband.
I raised my eyebrow and shuddered off the thought, "Oh, I'm just about to walk up to the tower and jump off it to save myself from your high pitched squeeking!" I squeeled the last part to give her a taste of her own medience, making her jump half a mile in the air.
"Miss Beaumont!" She exclaimed "Do you know the punishment for screaming at a member of staff in my position?"
"Death by squeeking?" I muttered under my breath.
"I beg your pardon?" she asked, her voice was the only thing keeping me entertained, by the thought of smashing her round the face with a baseball bat, I beg your pardon? WHACK! Yeah, now you have no teeth. What a shame!
"Nothing, Professor," I tried replying as blandly as I could manage, however it's hugely difficult to achieve with a giant grin across your face
I watched her eyes trace my face suspiocously before she spoke again "Hmm.... Run along then, Miss Beaumont..."
Of course, I spent no time hanging around after that and hurried off towards my destination, turning around to ensure Umbridge hadn't followed me here before whispering the password and stepping inside.
"Where have you been, I was worried" Dani looked concerned as she walked over and threw her arms around my shoulders. I noticed Charlotte in the corner, who smiled at me
"Sorry.. I had an incident with Umbridge..." I grinned before continuing, "But I sorted it..." Well, that just brought the image of Umbridge's face all distorted flooding back
Dani laughed "Oh god, I'm almost afraid to ask. You didn't turn her into a toad for real did you? Y'know we were joking when we said all that"
"Dani... I wouldn't have turned her into a toad... I would've turned her into a mouse and thrown her off the highest spire on the castle" I grinned evily, making Dani look at me awkawdly
"Sometimes I worry about you, Olive..." She muttered and looked away, a bigger smile growing across her already grinning face.
Looking around I noticed Fred with George in one corner, nudging each other, looking at me. Dani noticed, gigling slightly "Go on.. Go over there.." She whispered to me, nodding in the direction of the Wesley twins. I shifted my weight nervously on the spot until Dani shoved me forward on my feet. What was going on? This was stupid, it's Fred after all. As I reached the mischevious brothers, I smiled confidently as I approached them.
"Hey Olive" They grinned in unison. They have a secret, they must do, otherwise their faces wouldn't look quite like a hanger had been shoved down their throats
"We were just talking about you" George shrugged, shoving his brother forward towards me. Stumbling slightly, Fred reached up and grabbed my forearms to stop himself from falling. For a second, our eyes met and it seemed as if he was leaning forward, honing in, as if to kiss me. My breath caught in my throat, as a loud crashing came from outside.
As if someone was trying to break in.
Part of me knew it was snotty Umbridge and her 'sheep' but of course I hoped it wasn't, but I guess luck wasn't on my side at all.
"Well... Look what we found..." A snide, familiar voice echoed throughout the hall "A group of weirdo's..." She turned towards me and Fred.
"Beaumont... Did we interupt your little 'moment' with your new boyfriend?"
"Ashton.." I growled, gritting my teeth slightly, "Why, does it bother you if I did? Just because maybe there's no spark between you and Draco?"
Great... I can't go anywhere without running into Kayla...
Just to recap... We will never be friends
