"Y-you must be Scarlett..." He said.
I nodded at him.
"Right... I-im sorry I didn't came out of my room last night to welcome you. My name's Jaden." He said.
"Yeah. I heard." I said as I sat at a chair beside the kitchen counter.
"So tell me, why are you up early?" He asked as he continued what he was doing, which is basically cooking breakfast.
"To cook breakfast but I think I don't need to." I stated.
"It became a habit of mine to cook breakfast every weekend."
"Oh... So you cook... That's great." He said.
"And I can see you can too. Now I know two persons who can really cook." I said.
"Who's the other one?" He asked.
"Kio." I answered
"Well, I'm not as great as he is." He said.
"I only cook simple meals while he makes his own style. And it's delicious. I learned from him by the way."
"Well he did beat me when we were in highschool." I honestly said. No kidding. Kio is a really an amazing cook.

"So you guys met already..." Madison said as she went beside me and sat.
She yawned.
"I'm still sleepy...." She said.
"Well, breakfast is ready. I'm just gonna go and wake everyone up." Jaden said and went upstairs.
"Was he rude to you?" Madison asked.
"What? No. He was nice." I said.
"Good." She said.
"Why? What's wrong?" I asked.
"Nothing..." I paused for a minute before asking.
"Did something happened between the two of you?" She sighed.
"We had a relationship." She said.
"Oh...." I said.
"Alright! Let's eat!!" We heard Bryce coming towards us. So does all the other boys.
"So bad news, Griffin isn't attending the party later since he said he doesn't go to South Forks University and he and Dixie are going out later." He said glaring at Griffin.
"If you were me, you would do the same thing Bryce." Griffin stated.
"No I won't. I would never ditch a party for a date." Bryce said.
"That's because you don't take relationships seriously." Anthony said.
"Not my problem." Bryce said before we all started to eat. Jaden can cook well.

After lunch, Kio just appeared out of nowhere. We haven't seen him this morning.
"Where have you been?" Jaden asked, carrying bottles of beer for the party later.
"Guys, I'm really sorry. I'm gonna have to pass on the party tonight. Olivia needs me right now." Kio said as he quickly grab his bag and his car keys.
"What?! No! You cant! Jaden and I already told you to clear your agenda for tonight since last week." Bryce said.
"I'm really sorry bro. It just popped out of nowhere. I cleared all my agenda for tonight but Oliv—"
"Alright! Fine, fine. I don't wanna hear you explaining further."
"Thanks dude. I owe you one. I'll make it up to you when it's done. I gotta go." Kio said and went outside.

"Great!" Bryce groaned.
"So tell me who's next?" He sarcastically asked and went on continuing his doing. Whatever that is...
"Where's Nessa?" Anthony asked while helping Madison in the decorations.
"She's helping Josh with something." Madison grunted as she struggled to hang the decorations. She's stepping at a chair.
"Mads, be careful."
"Don't worry. It's... Almost.. T-there..." She said as she tiptoe even higher.
"Whoa!!!!"
"Mads!"
Jaden was fast enough to be there and catch her on time.
"Are you okay?" Me and Jaden asked to Madison.
"Y-yeah. Thanks." Madison answered as Jaden helped her stood up properly.
"Okay. No more tall works for you. You girls should rest. Leave it up to us." Jaden said.
"Okay." Both Madison and I said. We both went to the pool area since the weather's pretty nice. Not too sunny.

"Are you sure you're alright?" I asked.
"Yeah. I'm perfectly fine thanks to Jaden..." She said and sighed.
"Why did you two broke up?" I asked. She looked at me surprised.
"I'm sorry. It's okay if you won't answer that. I understand." I said as I mentally curse myself for asking.
"No. It's okay. Besides, I should probably start talking about myself to you since we'll be spending a lot of time together." She said.

"I broke up with Jaden two months ago. We lasted for a year and a half, I think..." She started.
"We had a fight. It was so... I don't know.. Uhh... Severe?... That it came to a point where we're literally cursing and yelling at each other. At that time,  I can't think straight. I thought that there was no solution that I can do to fix that problem. So I did the most stupidest thing I could ever think of in my entire life. I broke up with him. And now.... I'm regretting that dumbest, stupidest, and nonsense decision I made..."
"Why?"
"Because Jaden is a really great man. Every girl would want someone like him. I mean, come on... He can cook, clean and sing. He's caring, sweet, adorable, wonderful and charming. Basically what every girl expect from every man." She said. She looks like she's exaggerating but then she's not. Damn. This girl is really in love with that man.

★TIME★SKIP★

Around five thirty in the evening, people started to come in. I would see familiar faces but I can't remember who they were.
"Scarlett..." Nessa called me.
"What?" I asked.
"There she is." She pointed at a girl with two other girls on both her sides.
"Who is she?" I asked.
"Amelie Zilber. The one both  Madison and me hates." Nessa said. I looked Amelie from head to toe before speaking.
"She doesn't look like she's one of the mean girls." I honestly said. She has a plump lips that clearly stands out from her features.
"Ooh. I bet you wouldn't say that when you really know her. She have dated every guy in school. One of them is Bryce. Thankfully, Bryce dumped her first." Madison intercepted.
"Wow... Good thing Bryce didn't take that girl seriously." I commented.
"Scarlett, he doesn't take anyone seriously." We all laughed.
"You know what? This is a party. Let's have fun!" Madison said. We all went to where the boys are at. Nessa sat beside Josh and grabbed a beer. I'm not surprised. She can drink. Unlike me. I sat beside Anthony.
The music was really loud. There were flickering red, blue, pink and violet color lights.
"You know Scarlett, we throw the best party ever in our School!" Jaden said then chugged down his cup of beer.
Bryce was out there having fun. He's probably drinking and dancing right now.

9:57 PM
"No Mads. No more drinking. You're way too drunk. You should go to bed." I said to Madison as I tried to stop her from drinking another cup of beer. Some of the guests already left. There are only less than twenty five people left. Josh and Nessa was nowhere to be seen. Bryce is drunk. Jaden's not that drunk and so was Anthony.
"Okay. I'm gonna rest here." Madison said and took a nap at the couch...

"Hey Jaden, can you look out for Madison while I go to the comfort room?" Jaden just nodded. I stood up and went to the room I was staying since I have my things there. It has a bathroom inside. When I was done, I went out of the room.
"Well, look who it is..." I stood still when I saw her in front of me, not because I was scared, but because I couldn't believe I'd see her again.
"Jade..." I muttered her name.

"Things didn't seem to change from back then... You still disgust me everytime i see you..." She said. I exhaled sharply not from her words but because my mind said 'Here we go again'.
"You know, karma is real. I realized that after our graduation." The memories, the happenings... The incident... It all came back flashing in my mind. And with that, I knew that right now... Right at this very moment... I was fragile. That one wrong move, one triggering word, I could break into pieces. I could explode any moment. I could lose control of my emotions.
"Why do you say that?" I asked.
"Because you took everything from me. You always take my spotlight. Academically and Athletically." She firmly said.
"Jade, I was just trying to make my family proud. And I worked hard for it—"
"Well guess where that went? It went to a waste. That just proves karma is real. I didn't even do anything but you got what you deserve. I just let karma hit you. And it hit hard." I furrowed my eyebrows.
"What are you implying Jade?" I asked. She took a step closer to me.
"You worked hard for nothing, Scarlett. You know why? Because...." She halted her words. She leaned closer to my ear before speaking.
"Because the people whom you've dedicated it... Wasn't there to be proud of you." In a sudden, my body was shaking.
"Karma hit real fast. It happened right after our graduation..."
"Stop..." I told Jade. I held back my tears that was threatening to fall.
"What's worse of all is that, it's unfair to them and they're blaming you for it." Jade said.
"That's not true....." I said.
"It's true. Do you know the reason why it's unfair to them and they're blaming you?...."
"Because you're alive and they're dead when you should be the one in their place because you're the reason why they're no longer here in our world."
"Stop...!" I told her. And she did.

She smirked at me before chuckling.
"Well, it's been a pleasure seeing you again and I hope we do not cross paths with each other again. Goodbye Scarlett. And good luck." She said and left me there standing still.

Unconsciously, I went inside the room. I packed my bag and went back outside. I walked my way through the door and went outside the house. I took a taxi and told him the address of my house... I felt numb. I don't know why I feel that and if I should be feeling that. In less than an hour, I was home. I payed the driver before I faced my house. I went inside... Then that's when my face was soaked with tears.
