BORA STARES AT THE GLISTENING water. the moon's reflection moves slowly and appears as if it's waving at bora through the gentle ripples of water. her expression is sad, and bora can't help but allow her mind reminisce the memories of her and her best friend. i really miss her. would she ever visit me? should i visit her? suddenly, her conversation with louis fills her mind, and her cheeks turn a scarlet red.
"i can't believe i told him all of that just because i wanted to join some stupid acting club." bora mumbles, squatting down to observe the water from a closer perspective. she dips her hand into the clear liquid, the cold temperature serving as a reminder.
legosi walks around the campus with a handful of egg buns, a warm look on his face. his feet hit the concrete at a leisurely pace and he holds the egg buns more gingerly.
i can't wait to eat these...
legosi smells the familiar scent that had his tail wagging and somehow got his heart beating faster. faster than it's ever been with haru - which he didn't know was possible. "tail wagging? it means you're in love!" jack's words replay in his mind. "it means you're in love!" could bora ever love a carnivore? and things with bora didn't work out so well either. legosi's ears drop and his tail stands still. he hadn't thought much of rejection. what if she likes- loves someone else? what would he do then? i'm thinking too far ahead. she might like me. she sure acts like it. but what do i know about feelings? i should just have enjoy every moment i have with her for now. in case they don't last too long.
his ears perk back up and he holds the plastic-wrapped buns closer to his chest, getting ready to run to the lone wanderer. he smiles at her small-scale figure next to the sizeable fountain. it was a funny comparison. at least to legosi it was.
"bora!" legosi calls out, his feet beginning to move swiftly.
"hmph. now I'm hearing things." bora pouts to herself, turning her head slightly to check her back. her shoulders jump as she sees legosi running towards her and releases a small shriek when he makes it seem as if he was going to crash into her. "l-legosi!" she yells, kicking his leg out of shock. he doubles over in mock hurt.
"ouch?" he drops a bun, but bora dives to pick it up and shoves it down her shirt.
"hey-!" legosi gapes at the girl in disbelief. "i was planning on eating that!"
"and you're never going to get it back!" she huffs, the plastic crinkling as it slips down her body slowly. "oh- ew!" She pulls her skirt away from her body and starts jumping, squinting at legosi as she does it.
"h-hey, -uh- stop looking at me while you do that - it's weird."
bora laughs at his tone of voice. the bun lands on the floor and she tilts her head, pointing at the bun.
"i gave birth!" bora shifts from foot-to-foot excitedly, watching his expression carefully.
"yeah, right." legosi bends over and picks it up - but not before throwing it into the water fountain. he glances at bora and can't help the chuckle that rises from his mouth. "what? why are you looking at me like that?"
"do you find me dirty?" she asks seriously. legosi gives her a look of doubt before shaking his head and scoffing, as if the answer was obvious.
"no."
"well then, why are you washing the bun?" a smile fights its way to bora's face and she mentally curses the stupid grin that was on her face. she was usually good at hiding her emotions, but that skill seemed to be lost when she talked to legosi.
"i-"
"exactly." she remarks triumphantly. she shuts her eyes and points at legosi. "that's what i thought."
