After the previous reign of Director Leonard Church, Project Freelancer crumbled and vanished. Many, many, many years later, a new era arose. A new Director uplifted the legacy of Project Freelancer and revived the program. He created an A.I. based on his own mind, much like the previous Director. Instead of torturing the Alpha A.I., he carefully dissected each personality trait, making it much less gruesome. Due to the alternative to how the A.I.s were being created, the program gained popularity and followers.
Project Freelancer was anew.
