9. Friends? Maybe nah

Yoongi woke up and checked his phone. There was a message from Jungkook with cute little hearts at the end. 

Jungkook:
Hyung, we r vry sorry. Jin hyung called us strde night to ask us to cm early, cos he does need help with wtvr work he has. So we r going early. U prbly might be sleeping rn, but we r sorry tht u have to cm alone 2day. See u in the cafe <3<3<3<3

He quickly sent an "It's okay :)" to Jungkook and got up to get ready. He plugged in his earphones and walked to the cafe. There wasn't anyone there in the cafe. It was completely empty. 

Yoongi frowned and went out to check the board, just in case he walked into a different cafe that looked similar. 'Nah, it's Aroma Mocha. Where the hell are they?' he thought. 

He looked around, confused, and then went into the kitchen. None of the machines were started. He went behind the desk. None of the books were opened, no one was logged in yet.

'What's going on? What work did he have?' he thought as he pulled his phone out. He called Jin, but didn't receive an answer. He tried calling all of their phones, but none of them answered. He messaged Jungkook.

Yoongi:
Is it a holiday today? Where are you guys?

He waited for another ten minutes and messaged him again. 

Yoongi:
JUNGKOOOOKKKKK!!!!
Jungkook:
We are giving time for you two to finally get to know each other. Use the time wisely >v< :)))
Yoongi:
Who two?
Whooo?
Jungkooookkkk
Ohhhh come onnn

"Arrrggghhhh" he groaned in frustration and sat on one of the chairs and pulled out his cigarette. He sighed and let his mind wander. He took a deep puff from the cigarette, letting the smoke fill up his lungs as thoughts about his past filled his mind. 

He suddenly heard the door burst open. "Sorry, I'm late. Very very sorry" Namjoon said as he burst in. "Huh? GUYS!!" he yelled as he saw the empty cafe. "Here" Yoongi said, looking at Namjoon from his corner and smiling sweetly. 

Namjoon spared a slight glance at Yoongi before running off to the kitchen to find the guys in their usual hiding spot. But they weren't there. 

'Oh no, Oh no, Oh no, god please save me, now what? Oh no' he thought. His phone chimed and he got the same message that Yoongi received a few minutes ago. But this time, it was Jin. 

Jin:
We are giving you time for you two to finally get to know each other. Use the time wisely :))

Namjoon eyes widened as he stared at the message. His hands started shaking. He started speed walking towards the exit, determined to get the hell out of the cafe.

"Hyung, are we really gonna do it?" Jungkook asked Jin when they arrived at the cafe in the morning. 

"Yeah. I mean, we don't have to prank them and all. I mean, we can confuse them, but when they ask, we can directly tell them to use this time and all. Literally those two are the only people who are still not on friendly terms. It's been three months since Yoongi joined and it's time they became friends" Jin said. 

Jungkook stared at Jin with his mouth open and slowly nodded. "True" Hoseok said and all of them settled in the opposite restaurant so that they could have a clear view of what was happening inside. 

They started snickering when Yoongi first entered the cafe and soon were rolling on their seats when they received calls from him. "Hyung!! He messaged me" Jungkook said. "Give it to me" Jin said and typed a reply, telling him to 'use the time wisely'. 

They watched as Yoongi pulled his cigarette out and started smoking. "Ughh, that is the one thing I hate in him. How can he smoke soo much??" Jimin exclaimed. "I know, right?!!" Taehyung exclaimed. 

"Look! Namjoon hyung! Yess, perfect!" Jungkook said and punched the air with his fist. 

They saw Namjoon bursting through the door and slightly glancing to his left before running to the kitchen. "He's going to our usual spot" Jin said as he pulled his phone out to message him.

What started as fun, soon became worry as they watched Namjoon come out of the kitchen looking like a mad person, speed walking towards the door as if he were going back home. 

They watched as he suddenly froze with wide, frightened eyes and stared at the door. They watched as Yoongi approached him from behind and said something. 

Jin was positive he saw Namjoon's knees wobble. They looked at each other worriedly. "Something's wrong, don't you think?" Taehyung said. 

"Yeah, I just saw Namjoon's knees wobble. Is he sick?" Hoseok asked. "Shhh" Jin said and they continued watching. Yoongi smiled sweetly and said something that made Namjoon turn back slowly and stare at Yoongi with extremely frightened, red eyes. 

"Something is really wrong. Something about Yoongi hyung's smile seems off" Jungkook mumbled. "That's it. Something's happening. Let's go" Jin said the moment they saw Namjoon lean back on the door and slide down, burying his face into his hands.

"Wait" Yoongi said just as Namjoon was about to open the door and flee. Namjoon froze, but didn't turn back. He stared at the door handle with wide eyes. Yoongi snubbed his cigarette and walked forward with hands in his pocket. 

"Long time no see, Monnie" he said, his smile sickeningly sweet. Namjoon's heart raced as he heard the name that he had kept buried all this while. His knees wobbled as he took in the situation. He was positive none of the others would come in soon. 

"Leading a good life, I see. I was worried about you. You didn't come to see me. Not even once. I was upset" Yoongi fake pouted, before bringing back his sickening smile. "Let's catch up now. We got a lot of time for ourselves, don't you think?" he asked, still smiling. Namjoon slowly turned back, staring at Yoongi with wide, red, frightened eyes. 

"Hyu-" he croaked. "Dear. Lovely. Monnie. I did not give you permission to call me hyung" Yoongi said. "We are strangers. Don't you dare forget that" he said, not once wiping his smile off. He watched as Namjoon leaned back and slid down, burying his face into his hands. 

He suddenly noticed the others running across the road. "Get yourself together. They are here" Yoongi said. Namjoon suddenly shot up and ran towards the bathroom. 

"What's wrong? What happened?" Jin and Hoseok asked. "He said he wasn't feeling well" Yoongi said, wearing a 'worried' expression on his face. "I'll go and check on him" Jimin said as he walked away. 'Something is wrong' his mind kept telling him.
