Namjoon looked hesitantly at Yoongi, who kept staring really hard at him. "Okay. Let's go home. It's getting late" Yoongi said and got up from his seat.
"Hyung!! Please! Believe me! It's the truth. I am telling the truth" Namjoon pleaded. "Fine! I believe you! Good night" Yoongi said. Others wouldn't have known, but Namjoon knew Yoongi for as long as he had been alive. He could detect the slight sarcasm in his voice.
"Hyung! I know that you don't believe me! I can tell that you don't believe me! Please! It really is the truth! I dunno how to prove it to you, but it really is the truth" Namjoon held Yoongi's hand as he pleaded him to believe him.
"Okay. Now let go. What do you want? A hug? I can't hug you yet. Good night" Yoongi said, getting out of Namjoon's hold.
"Yoongi, it's crystal clear that you don't believe him" Jin said. "YES, I DON'T BELIEVE HIM!! DO YOU BELIEVE HIM? WHAT KIND OF NONSENSE WAS THAT?? UTTER BULLSHIT!! CHEATING, MY ASS! Namjoon, I can't believe you! How far are you ready to go to defend yourself, huh?" Yoongi asked.
"Hyung! Think about it! Why would I even have anything to do with your girl when I already had someone I love!! You yourself know how much I loved Lisa! Why would I even think of another woman when I had her??" Namjoon tried to reason.
"HOW THE HELL WOULD I KNOW THAT???? YOU TELL ME, NAMJOON!! YOU TELL ME!! WHY WOULD YOU GO AFTER ANOTHER WOMAN WHEN YOU ALREADY HAD A LOVER?? AND DON'T EVEN THINK OF GIVING ME THAT BULLSHIT OF AN EXCUSE OF LISA CHEATING ON YOU WITH ME! HER NAME WAS HYOJOO!! H. Y. O. J. O. O!!! NOT LISA" Yoongi yelled.
"I will prove it to you, hyung! Even if I have to give up my life for this, I will prove it to you! I'd rather die as your friend than live as your enemy" Namjoon said as he walked out of the cafe. Yoongi let out a heavy annoyed breath and walked out. He took out a cigarette and lit it.
But it got snatched away before he could even bring it to his mouth. "What th-" "You did well, hyung" Jungkook smiled at Yoongi. "Thank you" Yoongi mumbled and looked away.
"You know what, hyung? I think Namjoon hyung is telling the truth. Af-" "I don't want to talk about it" Yoongi cut him off.
"Okay, sorry" Jungkook said and they walked back home. Jimin and Taehyung stayed back with Jin and Hoseok to talk about everything that they came to know that day.
" It makes sense, hyung! I am not sure about the reason Namjoon hyung gave, because it sounds very dramatic. But everything else makes sense. Why Namjoon hyung tolerated all the abuse without revealing it and why he fell on your feet and begged you to let Yoongi hyung stay in the cafe even after Yoongi hyung literally burned him" Jimin said.
"Yeah. Actually, what Namjoon said makes sense too. He ran away, right? Why would he run away if he actually had a girl friend who wasn't cheating on him? I mean, even though he ran away after killing Yoongi's girlfriend, the police caught Yoongi, right?
So obviously he wasn't in danger of being caught or anything. But he still ran away. That means he wasn't thinking of his girlfriend anymore. And that might mean that Namjoon was talking the truth. But we can never be sure" Jin said.
"True" Hoseok nodded. "But Yoongi hyung is great. I can't imagine how I would have lived if my best friend betrayed me like that. Oww, oww, it hurt" Jimin whined as he received a smack on his head from Taehyung.
"Kookie and I would never do that. Don't even think about it" Taehyung deadpanned. "I know, I know" Jimin said as he rubbed his head.
"Okay! Let's go home. They have to organize this and work it out themselves. We can't do anything about it. Also, Jungkook is really doing a great job in cooling Yoongi hyung down, so I hope it will all work out some day. Let's go for now" Hoseok said.
"Yeah, let's go" they agreed and locked the cafe and went back home.
