Sean's POV:

The guys and I were chilling out at the cafe below the studio. We made it through the next round and we had some time before it started.

"Yo. You guys ready for the next round?" Josh asks.

"Yeah. I mean it wasn't a problem for us before." I say looking up from my phone.

"Yeah. But I wouldn't want to be going against Kaycee though." Julian says.

It's true. Kaycee was an incredible dancer. She was fierce and she had these powerful movements. To be honest I felt bad for whoever had to go against her. I look around the cafe and see that she was sitting alone on a bar stool watching something on her phone.

"You know you could go and talk to her." Julian says which makes me look back at him.

"Huh? What do you mean?" I ask him.

"Well it looks like you really want to talk to her. And she's alone. So go and talk to her." He tells me.

"One, I don't really want to talk to her and second she isn't all alone." I tell him as Bailey, a B troupe dancer goes and sits next to her.

"Ok then. Next time." He says and I roll my eyes. I was scrolling through my feed when I saw a fan had tagged me on a post. I liked it and in the corner of my eye, I saw another post. Curiously, I went to that post and saw a group of dancers dancing a hip hop piece. But in the middle was Kaycee!! She was incredible!! During her audition, she did a lot of contemporary dance moves but she was AMAZING at hip hop too. The fan had tagged her, so I went to Kaycee's Instagram page. I was looking through her page and I turned to look at her but she wasn't there anymore. Bailey was sitting alone. Wierd.

After chilling for a bit, it was time for the dance-offs so we went upstairs to stretch and warm up. As we got there I saw Kaycee in Kate's office. When she saw us coming she came out and went to keep her bag in a cubby.

Kaycee's POV:

After my talk with Kate and Chris I feel a lot better. The other dancers start coming in so I excused myself to go and stretch before the dance-offs. I put my dance bag in a cubby and go to the dance floor. I start stretching and warming up. Once I'm done with that I walk around the floor trying to find a sweet spot. A sweet spot is a place where you feel comfortable and calm. Whenever I dance in a new place, I try and find a sweet spot. It just helps me stay focused and calm and not get nervous or scared.

I was looking at the ground and feeling it. After walking around for almost a minute, I felt it. But at the same time, I bumped into someone.

"Oh God!! I'm so sorry. I didn't-" I stopped mid apology. "Sean? Sorry. I didn't see you there." I tell him

"Kaycee! Hey. No it's fine. But, what are you doing anyway." He asks.

"Uhm, I was looking for a sweet spot. And you my friend are standing on one right now." I tell him.

"A sweet spot? What's that?" He asks looking at me weird.

"A sweet spot is a place where you feel comfortable and calm. It helps you to stay calm and focused." I tell him.

"Okay. I'm standing on one now?" He asks me.

"Yeah. Right here." I stand in the spot where he was a second ago. I close my eyes and imagine myself doing my solo. I don't think of my opponent. I don't think of A troupe. I don't think of Delaney. I don't think of anything but my solo. I go through all the steps in my head and open my eyes. I see Sean looking at me like I'm losing it. I smile at him.

"What's wrong Sean?" I ask him.

"Nothing. It's just that you closed your eyes and spaced out. Completely. What's up with that?" He asks.

"Well, when I'm in my sweet spot, I like to imagine myself doing my solo. Just my solo, nothing else. I go through all the steps one by one and open my eyes. This helps me calm down and be a bit more confident." I explain to him.

"Oh. Okay that makes sense. Do you think you could find me a sweet spot?" He asks me. Is he serious?? No one's ever asked me that before. People always thought I was crazy to believe in sweet spots. Let alone do it with me.

"Are you sure Sean. I mean no one's ever done it with me before." I tell him

"Yeah. You look really calm after you did it and it's your first time doing this ever. I've done this twice now and I'm still a bit nervous. Besides, what do I have to lose." He says with a smile.

A huge grin came across my face and I grabbed his hand and walked around the studio again. People were looking at us but he didn't seemed bothered by it. I found another sweet spot and I told him to stand in it.

"Okay. Now close your eyes and imagine yourself doing your solo. Just your solo. Nothing else. Not your opponent. Not your friends. Not your girlfriend. Nothing. Just you and the dance floor,  dancing to the beats." His eyes are closed and his friends come up to us and I motion them to be quiet.

"Okay when your done take a deep breath and open your eyes." A few seconds later, he takes a deep breath and opens his eyes and he smiles at me.

"Woah!! That was incredible. You were right I feel much better. Thank you so much." He says happily.

"Your welcome. It has always helped me get through with difficult times." I tell him.

"Will someone please explain what is going on??" Josh asks.

Sean turns to them and says, "Oh hey guys!! Kaycee and I just did this thing called sweet spots." He tells them. They look confused. Most people always do. But we couldn't talk more cause Kate and Chris came to the dance floor and kept the two boxes on a bench.

"Alright dancers. I hope your all warmed and stretched up. We will begin with the Dance-offs." Kate says and we all cheer. I look at Sean and smile.

Let's get this over with

AN: Hey guys!!!! I hope that all of you are at home and are healthy and safe. This chapter was really fun to write and I personally think the whole concept of Sweet Spots is really cool. I'm not a dancer but it just feels right to have a sweet spot you know.

I really hope you guys liked this chapter. Next will probably be the Dance-offs so stay tuned for that. I love you guys and thank you so much for all the support on this book so far. I can't wait to continue doing this.

Until next time, xx
