Kaycee's POV:
Things were going great. I mean to be honest I didn't even think much about Dance Captain let alone audition to become one. But we've got a really good routine and I'm feeling pretty good about it. I kinda feel that we're a tad bit under rehearsed but the other dancers seem really confident (especially Tahani) so I shake it off. Must be the nerves of being the new kid. But anyway we're done with rehearsal and I was making my way downstairs to the cute cafe to get a drink. I went and ordered a drink and while I was waiting in line for it, I noticed Tati, Tahani and a few girls sitting and chatting away.
"Ma'am your drink"
I look back at the barista and pay her and take my drink. I make my way to where the other girls were seated and sit down with them.
"Hey Guys!!" I greet them.
They all give me a look that practically screams 'what is she doing here'. I'm not really sure what I did wrong here. Like I never did anything to them so I don't think there's a reason for them to behave like this towards me. So I ask, "Uhmm is it okay if I sit here??"
"Your actually in Chloe's spot so" Tahani says
"Oh sorry. I'll just move then." I murmured
I'm really confused now. Like I didn't do anything so what's up with the 'stay away pls' charade. I go and sit next to this guy who's also from A-troupe who I think was in B-troupe last year. He's on my team now too.
"Hi. Is it okay if I sit here?" I ask him.
"Whatsup. Uhmm sure go ahead. Don't worry I don't bite unlike the glam squad."
"Thanks." I say with a smile and slide into the seat next to him. "Glam squad??"
"That's what they call themselves. But if I'm being honest with you there's nothing glam about them."
"Well I can tell they think really high of themselves."
"That they do." He says.
Sean's POV:
Right now we're all in Studio 1 and we're getting warmed up before today's showdown between Tati and Kaycee. Speaking of Kaycee, I look around and don't really see her anywhere. Oh I hope she's not lost again. As if on cue, she comes into the studio with Daniel.
Ughhh why are they walking together. And she's laughing with him. Woah Woah!! Where is all this feelings coming from?? Daniel is probably one of the most technical dancers on the team. The two of them come onto the dancefloor and start stretching. Kaycee looks around as if searching for someone and her eyes landed on me Oh those pretty eyes. Wait what?? Get yourself together Lew!!!
"Hey Shamu!!" Kaycee says standing in front of me. When did she get here??
"Sup Kayc! Shamu??"
"Yeah. When you say Sean Lew super fast it sounds like Shamu" She explains. I look at her for a second and burst out laughing.
"That's so weird Kayc." I tell her still laughing.
"I know right" She laughs with me.
"Ok. Everyone listen up." Miss Kate says coming in. "I hope everyone's nice and stretched. We're going to start the showdown between Kaycee and Tati for the title of dance captain."
"Now we're going to flip a coin and see who's team gets to go first" Chris says and flips the coin.
"Heads" Tati yells almost immediately. I roll my eyes at this.
"That means I get Tails then" Kaycee says.
"Aaand its heads." Chris says and Tati and her team cheers.
"We choose to go first." Tati says with her hand on her hips.
"Okay then. Kaycee, you and your team can take a seat." Miss Kate says.
We take our positions and do the routine. Tati's routine is not that bad. But its very plain. Don't get me wrong, we've got flips and tricks and all but its what we've gotten used to and I really think it could be a whole lot better. Too bad Tati doesn't think so. The thing about her is that she makes the routine all on her own and takes nobodies input. So because we've been doing her routines for so long its almost like we can expect what to do next.
We finish our routine and the everyone cheers.
"That was amazing dancers. Good Job!!" Miss Kate says. "Kaycee, its your team's turn now"
"Okay. Come on guys."
"Good luck kayc" I whisper when she walks past me. She turns around and winks at me and I smile.
They take their positions and I notice Tahani smirking and looking at Tati. And Tati's got the same look on her face.
Uh oh. Something's not right here.
