When they entered the city, Inum immediately gave her a pouch of gold coins. "Use this to repair your armor at the guild. Also, you don't need to mention me in the quest results. Take the fame for yourself." He said before leaving her alone.
Katerine smiled before happily walking towards the guild. She was whistling to herself as she walked, noticing not as many people walking the streets. She got to the guild hall with only seeing a couple adventurers compared to last time.
When she entered, the same woman greeted her. She walked up to Katerine while staring at the sword in her hands. "Is that?" She asked.
"It's the cursed sword the quest wanted." Katerine responded. The woman immediately led Katerine to a table towards the back of the room.
"Here's the reward." She said while handing a bag filled with gold coins to her. It was then that she noticed the hole in her armor. "You want to get that repaired? Or a new suit of armor?" She asked.
"Repaired please." Katerine said with a smile.
"Ok. Then please change into this." The woman said while handing Katerine a blue shirt. Katerine quickly changed into the shirt, handing her the chest plate when she was finished. "Thank you. It shall take a bit of time. Feel free to look at a new quest while you wait." She said while taking the armor and cursed sword away from everyone.
Katerine took the bag of gold and held it on her back as she went to look at the quests. When she did, a single man wearing leather armor walked up to her. "You want a bag of holding?" He asked. Katerine stared at him for a few seconds before agreeing. "10 gold coins." He said. The elf sighed before handing over 10 gold coins.
As promised, the man handed her a bag and she managed to easily stuff her gold coins inside. She put the bag over her shoulder, noticing that it felt like she was carrying nothing. She quickly diverted her attention to the quests again, noticing one that was asking for a cyclops to be killed. The area was north of her home. Without hesitation, she took the quest and walked towards where the woman once was.
The elf waited for about an hour before the woman came back. She was slightly shocked to see the quest in Katerine's hand. "Here. I want to take this quest." The elf said.
"Of course. However, this quest requires a party of at least two." She said. Katerine pouted when she heard it. "Luckily, someone came in today looking for a party to join. She should be over there." The woman said as she pointed to a familiar brown haired halfling that was looking away from them. A lute was in her lap with her hands looking like they were resisting the urge to play it. She dawned a set of leather armor and boots that managed to cover most of her body.
"Galima!" Katerine yelled as she ran up to the halfling. "You got started adventuring?"
"Not yet. Either way, what are you doing here? Did you complete your quest?" Galima asked quickly.
"I completed it. Since you haven't been on a quest yet, why don't you join me?" Katerine asked.
Galima's eyes lit up as she looked back at Katerine. "If you are willing to put up with me for a bit, then I'll adventure with you." Galima said as she regained her composure.
"Perfect!" Katerine said happily while hugging Galima. Galima struggled slightly as her face was forced into Katerine's chest. She attempted to push Katerine away, but failed horribly. After realizing that she couldn't push the elf away, she decided to scribble her fingers on the elf's ribs.
As soon as she did, Katerine laughed and let go of Galima. Her hands darted to her ribs, attempting to save them from the tickling fingers that were attacking. "No fair!" Katerine said while pouting.
