I looked to Calum who seemed to be staring at Michael. Michael was talking to Ashton, whispering into his ear and making the small boy laugh. I loved hearing my friends giggle. I used to do anything to hear it. It was absolutely adorable and breathtaking.
It was beautiful. He was beautiful.
He still is."Luke?" I looked over at Ashton, who had called my name.
"Are you okay?" he got up and went around the table, sitting next to me as he shot me a small smile.
"No Ash. 'm not okay." Ashton's smile dropped as he m softly touched my hand.
"Why?" He whispered.
"You lied." I got up from my seat and walked away, not knowing where I was going and not caring either.
I heard someone running after me and felt someone's fingers interlace with mine. I looked down at my hand, knowing by the tan color that Calum came to comfort me. I looked up at him and he gave me a sympathetic smile.
"C'mon. We got class."
_After school, Calum's parents had failed to pick him up and his sister was at home, sick. Michael had offered him a ride, since Ashton was staying the night at his house, but the kiwi boy refused and said he could walk.
"Mikey, I'll be fine. I'm just gonna walk home. I'll see you guys tomorrow." Michael nodded and got into the driver's seat of his car. Ashton hugged Calum before pulling away and giving him a smile.
"Bye Cal."
He then turned to me, hugging me and planting a soft kiss on my cheek as he eyelashes fluttered up to look at me in the eyes.
"Bye, Lukey." my face flushed a bright red as Ashton turned and walked away, stepping into Michael expensive black car, which drove away quickly as soon as Ashton's door was shut.
I miss him.
"You got a ride home Luke?" Calum asked, I nodded.
"My mum's coming to get me." I whispered. Calum snickered and lightly pushed my shoulder with his.
"Mama's boy, eh?" I smiled a little, before nodding my head and turning to look at the kiwi boy.
"Always. My mum is my everything." Calum smiled as he looked into my eyes, the hard chocolate melting back into the shiny golden brown they were when I first saw him.
"That's sweet. You're sweet. Ya know that?" I blushed. This feeling, it was so new yet, so familiar. I smiled at Calum and grabbed his hand, interlacing our fingers as I rested my head on his shoulder. He cleared his throat and shook me off of him, but still smiled at me after. I returned the smile, looking away quickly when my mother's car pulled up in front of us. I wasn't mad that Calum shook me off, I was happy that I could share short moments like that with someone again. Also, I was happy that he wasn't afraid to tell me his limits, but still assure his care for me.
Do I have a crush on Calum?
My mother rolled down her window, smiling at me and giving me a short, friendly wave.
"Hi Sweetheart. Who is this?" I looked at Calum, who seemed to be frozen in place, and shook his shoulder, smiling.
"This is Calum, he's my new friend." the kiwi boy, awoken from his shock, smiled at my mom and waved.
"Hello, honey. Do you have a ride?" My mum asked, I looked at Calum and smirked, knowing what was to come.
"Uhm, no ma'am. My mother forgot to pick me up. I'm walking." He says, shyly.
