Izuku's POV
"Izuku!Izuku!"I groaned as a light shown in my eyes.
"What.."I mumbled detesting the light.
"Its 8:23,"My eyes snapped open
"What!!"I looked at the time in disbelief, and in fact it was 8:23."Damn it I'm going to be late!"I almost screamed before bouncing out of bed and tossing on my uniform."Why didn't you wake me up, Sho,"I whinnied as I stumbled into my pants.
"I don't have to wake up until 10, sorry,"I threw him the finger as I flew in to the bathroom and took 5 minutes to clean up whatever sleep had done to my appearance.I sped out the bedroom to the kitchen making myself some tea in a to go cup and grabbing an apple.I drove to the police station in 10 minutes.I ran in with my cup and signed in and walked to my office.Since 70% of my job is doing office work and 30% of it is on the field(out of the office) I rarely ever talk to anyone, which I much prefer since I always thrived with independent work.Yet their are some times when I do have to talk to people but the majority of the people that I work with respect me even if I'm an omega.
"Hey Midoriya,"One of my coworkers calls out, I wave in his general direction as I turn on the computer.I finish the rest of yesterday work and at 12 someone comes over and gives me a pile of files to do by tomorrow.I end up finishing them all at 6:30 without realizing it I had skipped to the end of the day.I ended up packing up my things and started to go before my boss waved me over.No coincidence but my current boss is Iida.
"Midoriya sit with me,"he said as he gestured to a seat in front of a coffee table.Iida is the chief of police, and so of course that means he's my boss.And of course once he figured out that I might go into law enforcement he requested me to come and work for him.
"What's going on?"I asked
"Have you finished all your work for the day?"he asked with a soft smile.
"Um...Yes?"I said making it sound more like a question then an answer.
"Okay then can you take a day off tomorrow?"he asked and I blinked at him.
"W-what?"I stuttered not believing it
"Let me say it this way, do you want to take a day off?"He asked again
"Um I mean...I'd love to but would it really be okay?"I asked in utter confusion.
"It's fine, you always work hard I mean your shift is supposed to end at 4:30 but you always leave around 6 or 7, and look at the bags under your eyes, I think a proper break would be good for you, just do it, okay?For me as you're friend and your boss,"Iida said with a warm smile.I couldn't help but hug him.
"Thank you, Iida!"I said with a smile.And with that I left with a small smile remaining on my face until I drove home.

Shoto's work day

I heard the front door click shut as Izuku left and I groaned in utter despair.My omega has left me, the sting from his departure hurt but I knew he had to go.I jumped out of bed and went to the bathroom.Brushed my teeth, hair and took a cold shower.I dried myself and then put on some clothes before making myself a quick breakfast before leaving.I got an Uber and got to my father's building in about 15 minutes.Since the old man retired I've been the head of my father's company.I walked in and the person at the front desk checked me in, and of course it being a girl she tried flirting with me.
"So handsome are you free tonight?~"she asked flirtatiously
"I'm taken, and unless you can't smell anything I have a mate, so unless you want to lose your job you better keep your attitude professional here,"I glared at her, she shrank back and apologized.
"I-I'm sorry, I didn't realize, I-,"she stuttered taken aback
"Don't.Do.It.Again."I hissed, my alpha giddy with dominance.I walked away and smirked before going to my office.Always staying busy was better then letting my thoughts run wild.So I finished my work from the day before and then my assistant, Katie, walked in and gave me a little more paperwork to do.I finished at 4 and left.Walking mostly before grabbing a taxi, and riding the rest of the way.It took about 10 minutes I got to the apartment at 4:20.I walked into the apartment with the familiar emptiness that reminded me of the first couple of weeks that we had stayed here. My alpha had gotten anxious that Izuku hadn't gotten home but after about 2-3 hours he had arrived unharmed but it still made me feel restless now.Although doing the cleaning and cooking did speed the time instead of restlessly waiting for my omega to come home.So that just became our routine, although it would be nicer if we could spend some time for ourselves once in awhile. My phone rang abruptly and I jumped.I looked at it and saw that it was Izuku.I clicked the green button and put it on speaker.Our black cat, Yu, who is basically independent from us looks at me as she hears our conversation.
"Shoto!Shoto!"I heard his voice say with pure happiness.
"What's going on?"I asked but smiled softly.
"Are you free tomorrow?"He asked
"Um I can ask my assistant, why?"
"Iida told me that I can have a free day tomorrow!"He said and my heart stopped in disbelief
"Really!!"I said excitedly an idea popped in my head quickly.
"Ya, so can you make sure your free too?"he asked with some happiness fading
"No matter what I'll make sure we can spend time together,"I said with a grin plastered on my face.
"Okay, then I'll see you when I get home, bye,"he said and I could tell he was about to cry, he was so happy.
"Bye,"I said and hung up.
"Hey Kirishima, are you and Bakugo free tomorrow?"
