Lesson 31: Vernon Welcome Back

Not long after, we hear Vernon yelling out for us, "I finally found you!!" He said grabbing Jeonghan examing his face and body for any wounds. He turned Jeonghan left and right looking him up and down, taking care to not be too forceful about it. He patted his head with a relieved sigh. Once he was satisfied he turned to me rolling up his sleeves ready to throw a hard punch at my face.

The queen said, "Oh Vernon long time no see." Vernon blinded by rage didn't even notice her and jumped on top of me still pulling his fist back. I was brought to the floor with a loud thump. I wasn't really expecting that but then again he already made assumptions about me.

I tried my best to not show my fear as I closed my eyes getting ready for the impact, but it never came. I opened an eye and saw that the queen herself caught his fist that was only inches away from my face.

I let my breath out as the queen twisted Vernon's arm getting him off of me and down on the ground with his stomach on the floor next to me. I swear this queen was so badass.

"Vernon, I was greeting you. You should greet me back." She said smiling but I could hear the venom in her voice as she said this. it sent shivers down my spine in how for a queen that doesn't like formalities, not being greeted back pissed her off a lot.

Vernon was struggling to get out of the hold, but I think he now just noticed it was the queen pinning him down. He instantly stopped struggling and picked up his head to turn to the queen and nervously laughed, "Oh queen, ahh I mean master I didn't know you were back so soon."

"Master?" I questioned.

The queen turned to me, "I was the one who trained him." She said smiling as Vernon glared dagger into me.

Vernon managed to wiggle out and dust himself off pulling the queen pack onto her feet with himself, "Sorry Master, I was blind-sighted by rage at this terrible excuse of a royal tutor, who took Jeonghan away." He said.

"Ahhh that---" I said. "But you were the one who left us first though," I said trying to play innocent.

Vernon was furious but a glance at the queen forced him to calm down. "I will let it slide this once. But you better watch your back tutor and not pull such a stunt." He said to me and turned to Joana and said, "Ugh you look just like him."

He walked away but he abruptly stopped and moved in front of Joana and studied her face, "Hold on you really do look like that tutor."

"That's Joshua's sister," Jeonghan said smiling.

Vernon looked at Joana up and down as I jumped between the two glaring at Vernon, "Oh, no way!!!" he ended up saying looking between the two of us.

"But Vernon where were you?" Jeonghan questioned.

Vernon turned around to looked at Jeonghan but his face became red, "Oh ah... Seungkwan had an emergency."

Jeonghan's eyes glowed at the mention of that name, "Aw such love birds as I still see."

"Stop that," Vernon said covering his face.

Jeonghan patted  Vernon on the head, "It's cute though."

I just realized how much Jeonghan has really changed from the time I first met him to now. He seems to be more cheerful then he was beforehand. Instead of coping up in my room all day and all night, he is actually making an effort to socialize. He is trying to get closer to those around him and try to put more of himself out there. I could tell that the queen was pleasantly pleased by this, as she smiled at her son's interactions.

Maybe I actually did do a good job of tutoring him.

"Oh queen and prince I can calling a limo it should be here soon," Vernon said trying to regain his composer.

After waiting not long, the limo came and we all filed into it. The drive was quiet all of us had released all our energy over there. The sun was setting as we got out of the limo that was parked in front of the castle. Then something popped in my head

"OMG Dino!!" I yelled.

Vernon glared at me and said, "The other two guards already finished everything for us. Telling Dino that they had finished up the list for us."

"Ah good, but still I will definitely get an ear full from him next time he comes," Jeonghan said shivering at the thought.

We walked into the castle where the king and the royal advisor stood smiling at all of us.

"I'm back honey." the queen said. The king had the biggest smile ever as he ran up to her grabbing her into a huge bear hug and making both of them jump as they hugged. he cheered not trying to surpass his excitement in away way. The queen was just in his arms with a small smirk on her face and her face becoming red.

I smirked as I felt my hand being grabbed, I turned and saw Jeonghan. I smiled down at him as I saw Joana walking up to the queen's side, maybe by habit now. I smiled at Jeonghan but, Vernon walked between us making us let go of our hands as we went inside.
