The blue haired girl squinted at the sun shining through the blinds. The warmth emanating from the window encouraged her to throw off the blanket and start the day, but the fogginess in her head suggested otherwise.

What time is it?

Juvia sat up, running a hand through her tangled hair, recalling the previous day. She had so much fun at the pool, she almost forgot the fact that she and Gray were officially dating.

Nope. That's a solid lie.

There was no way she could forget anything, especially not the kiss she received from him. Sighing dreamily, Juvia glanced over to the calendar. School was finally almost over, one month until freedom. One month until she could spend her life at the pool and practice every day without being reprimanded by her father. She opened her blinds looking out to the busy neighborhood. It was barely 7 and already there were families on strolls and dogs running around.

bzzz bzzz

The girl looked at her phone,

From Gray-sama!: Good mornin

Juvia tried (and failed) to keep the smile off her face as she read his message. She typed out a response and got started on functioning. Grabbing a cup out of the cabinet, she filled it up with ice and water and proceeded to get ready for the day. She rummaged through her closet, selected thin and loose clothes, being fully aware that today was likely to be in the 80s. Juvia had hardly pulled her hair into a bun when a slight knock came from the door. Hesitantly, she opened it to reveal Levy, as adorable as ever. The small girl stared up with big eyes, seeming to forget why she was there. Juvia paused momentarily before opening the door all the way. She took in Levy's orange dress and green sandals.

"Good morning, Levy! Can Juvia help you?" Levy startled and a faint blush came over her face.

"Hi, yes, um, I know this is really weird but-" Her face was flushed and she seemed to be struggling to get the words out, "Would you like to go to the zoo with me?"

"I'm sorry?" Juvia couldn't hide her confusion.

"Well, er, Gajeel is out of town and I really wanted to see the penguin exhibit but it would be awkward if I went alone so...,"

"Juvia would love to!" Juvia paused, "Out of curiosity, where did you get Juvia's address?"

"I might've emailed Gajeel a while ago." Juvia giggled at the girl's obvious embarrassment before grabbing her bag. The girls walked outside, soaking in the sun, occasionally catching some shade under a tree.

"Lemonade! Lem-lemonade for one dollar!" A small girl's voice called out to Juvia and Levy. The girls stood awkwardly at a makeshift stand.

"Would you like to buy-buy some lemonade." The girl's pigtails trembled along with her lithe figure.

"Of course, what's your name darling?" Levy stooped down to the girl's height, which wasn't all that far down.

"My name is Wendy, miss...,"

"I'm Levy, and this is Juvia," She paused at looked at Juvia. "You know what I just realized?"

"What?" Both girls said in unison.

"We all have blue hair! It must be a sign!" Levy took out her phone gesturing and Juvia to come over.

"Let's take a picture for good luck." Juvia grinned awkwardly before glancing at Levy's shoulder.

Was that a-? As if by magic, Levy's eyed followed hers.

"Oh, my tattoo?" Dumbly, Juvia nodded.

"It was back when I was being stupid in high school." Juvia wrinkled her brow, recalling that Levy was indeed older than her, college age to be precise.

"Juvia just thought that Gajeel had a similar one."

"Yeah, we got them together!" Levy turned to wave goodbye to Wendy before walking ahead.

"We were both out when..." Juvia merely nodded and listened to Levy's story of her cousin's misadventures in high school.

She smiled, perhaps this would be a good day.
