After my seventh birthday, Primrose and I started to hang out quite a lot. I always invite her to my house to play Barbie dolls or watch a Disney movie. Just like right now.

"Are you crying?" I asked in disbelief.

"I'm so sad! Why did Mufasa have to die?" She blurted out, grabbed a tissue and blew her nose.

"Primrose, Mufasa is not real, okay? Lions don't talk."

She turned to me and glared like I just trashtalked her favorite character. I bursted in laughter while shaking my head. Unbelievable.

We're currently watching the movie Lion King in our home theatre, sitting on our own reclining chairs. I'm holding the bowl of popcorn and when she was about to reach for it, I moved it away. Pagkatapos niyang suminga ng sipon. No way, Jose.

"Wash your hands first!"

She sighed, "Okay."

While waiting for her return, I remembered something that could uplift her mood.

"Primrose, I have something to show you!" I declared in a singsong voice.

When Primrose saw the finish product of my painting with her as the subject and our garden in the background, she flipped out. Her palms landed on her mouth, amazed and probably could not believe how I managed to paint her.

"Charan!" sambit ko.

"You're so talented, Euphoria!" she said in awe.

I giggled and did an exaggerated hair flip, "Thanks."

Her fingers grazed through every side of the painting. The tips meeting the rough texture of acrylic paint. Her eyes freely roamed around the canvas and whispering 'wow's every now and then.

"Sobrang pretty! I'm sure you will be a very famous artist someday!"

Umiling ako at napayuko. I wish. If only I could defy what my parents want. Maybe someday.

"Maybe. My dream is to hold an international exhibit, tapos pupuntahan siya ng mga elites from around the globe. Imagine, famous people gathered in one place just to witness your talent," pagdadaydream ko.

I smiled bitterly, "But I think my parents would be against it."

"H-huh? W-why naman?" she asked. Her eyes were questioning.

I think she just gets carried away with her emotions sometimes.

"Kasi Rosie, they want me to handle the family business and they think that painting is just my hobby. If they find out that painting is actually my passion, they're going to take it away from me."

Natahimik siya. Parehas walang nagsalita samin. I was confused with what she's trying to do.

Huminga nang malalim si Primrose at ngumiti.

"This R-Rosie wants you, E-Eurie to promise that you will not stop painting no matter what," my mouth fell with how serious she sounded.

I smiled sweetly. I raised my pinky finger as well and intertwined it with hers, "I promise."

"Y-you like the nickname, Rosie?"

"Y-yeah. Okay lang sayo ang Eurie?"
