1 ☆ The begining

"Eddie hurry the fuck up I still have to pin your shoulder pad blades! Your makeup is fine! Phillip has a natural look whore!"
Eddie groans and aggressively blends the last of his blush
"I'm coming!"
Eddie leaves the lighted mirror and jogs over to Bev who finishes fixing glitter on the Arial who then promptly leaves.
"God Eddie Arora is about to walk back and she needs her escort! jeeze if you would stop picking up kids maybe these would stop breaking."
Eddie rolls his eyes
"If I'm doing the Disney college program I'm at least gonna make it magical for this kids bev."
Beverly pricks him on purpose and he yelps
"We're all cp kids Eddie"
Bev finishes fixing Eddie's costume and he goes out of the dressing room. He struts confidently taking on the character walking towards the meet and greet room. He gets to the door and stands in the doorway.
"Oh! Philip we are almost done here!"
Patty the actress for Arora says.
"Of course take your time dearest"
Eddie says in a strong voice then stands next to Bill by the door.
"Philip."
Bill says laughing a little Eddie resists the urge to roll his eyes, and starts a whispered conversation.
"Bill. You're  our escort today?"
Bill nods
"I don't know why because you're walking her back but management wants non characters walking you guys back now."
"Man Stan's pretty harsh but makes sense after jasmine and Aladdin got swarmed"
The last group heads to the door and the rest of the line is told Aroras meet and greet is over.
"My lady"
Eddie holds out his arm and Patty gently places her hand on it. They leave and start walking across the park. Stopping a few times along the way though. it was getting later so the smaller kids were leaving for the day.
Eddie and Patty make it to the dressing room finally without getting bombarded.
"This wig needs to leave my head NOW!"
Patty says sitting in front of her mirror. Eddie laughs sitting in his chair.
"Hey sweetie"
Everyone turns their heads at the sound of our manager.
"Hello Stan"
Eddie says but Stan is only looking at his darling girlfriend. Patty quickly takes off her wig and puts it on the mannequin head and  Bev sweeps it off the desk.
"Hi babe"
Patty says as Stan kisses her cheek. She and Eddie both start using makeup wipes to scrub their faces.
"Hey eddie how was pretending to be married to my girlfriend"
Eddie rolls his eyes and Bill laughs from the corner. Eddie laughs standing up and walking towards bev who starts undoing all the clasps on Eddie's costume.
"Stan I'm gay asshat"
"Woah strong names to call your manager"
Eddie rolls his eyes. Eddie is stripped until he's only in his white tank top and briefs and quickly puts on his jeans and his ice cream stand uniform.
"You deserve those names for adding me on ice cream night shift in adventure land."
Stan laughs.
"True but then you me Bill and Richie all leave at the same time for the apartment! And you and rich come from the same place!"
"But I am a face character Stan the only other person who does both is Kelly but just like belle she's an overachiever."
Bill laughs a little too loud
"That's too true! ... H-Hey Stan, w-when does Mike g-get in?"
Stan looks down at his clipboard.
"Um he's out with Tiana by the central pond doing their stroll, you don't have to be at Tinkerbell to bring her to her float till 7:20 so you've got about an hour twenty . They could use an extra guard if you wanna see him that bad."
Eddie and Bev both raise their eyebrows suggestively at Bill.
"I-it's not l-like that! I-I just-"
"Think his Navine costume is hot"
Bev finishes.
"No! Y-you guys it's not l-like that! And E-Eddie y-you can't t-talk!"
Stan tries not to laugh which only makes him snort.
"The hell are you talking about"
Eddie says confused
"N-never mind I'm going"
Bill says as he leaves. Eddie slips his phone into his pocket and places the paper hat on his head and heads after Bill.
"Same Kev is gonna kill me for being late, text if you need me"
Eddie and Bill walk together until Bill splits off. Eddies almost to his post by the jungle cruise exit where Richie works. Eddie gets a text before rounding the corner
'Stanley~ heads up Aladdin and jasmine are out there there's gonna be a crowd ik about your anxiety'
"Shit"
Eddie whispers rounding the corner and sees the small crowd. Eddie is confident as Philip and is fine but once he's plain old Eddie in his striped button up, paper hat,name tag, and  pin packed lanyard he can't handle it and gets anxiety.
"Eddie finally"
Kev hands him his apron and scooper quickly sprinting away. Eddie swiftly ties on his apron.
"Hey buddy what would you like"
Eddie says pointed towards a small boy in a buzz lightyear shirt leading Eddie  guessing what he wants in his head.
"He'll have a buzz pop"
Eddie pulls out the Popsicle mentally preparing for this shift. He stays for his three hours until the jungle cruise closes. Eddie closes the umbrella and locks the freezer closed.
"No! I did not wait this long just for you to be closed!"
Eddie looks up to see a woman with her child tightly gripping his hand.
"I-I'm sorry mam but I'm closed for the night."
"Are you sure you can't do one more!?"
She says loudly getting in Eddie's face making his anxiety skyrocket.
"I-I'm so sorry but I can't, there are plenty of ice cream places on Main Street still opened"
"My son doesn't want main street ice cream, he wants the alligator themed flavor here!"
"T-they have that I-in all locations mam."
Eddie says on the verge of a panic attack.
"I'm sorry, excuse me mam but this booth is closed you can get your magical ice cream experience at a main street store or wait till tomorrow i sincerely apologize for the inconvenience "
Richie says waking up next to the booth to meet Eddie. While Richie talks to the lady Eddie drops to his knee.
"You wanna be an adventure? Like Indiana jones?"
He asks the kid connecting that they just came out from that ride. The little boy vigorously shakes his head yes.
"Ok how about you go find the rare alligator picture on main street once you get there go inside the store and give the worker this ticket and he will reward you with free ice cream for finding the alligator! Ok?"
Eddie pulls out a coupon ticket for free ice cream from behind the stand and referring to the alligator cartoon that advertises the ice cream.
"Ok!!"
The kid shouts, Eddie was always better with kids than adults. Eddie looks up and the mom is stunned and Richie smirks proudly.
"Let's go mommy!"
The kid drags her arm and starts running away. Eddie sighs a breath of relief and stands up after unlocking the booth wheels.
"Not gonna lie eds that was adorable you handle kids so well"
Eddie's face turns red and he masks it but looks down at the booth beginning to push it towards the break room in adventure land.
"If only you could charm the moms like I do they can't get enough of Tozier hotness"
Eddie rolls his eyes.
"Shut up Richie,Today's shift sucked that crowd jasmine caused killed me because they all came to get ice cream after."
"Sorry Eddie at least you are a prince I just make shitty jungle jokes all day"
"So exactly what you regularly do but with a theme"
Richie laughs
"Good one, here let me"
Richie lifts the booth over the bump on the door and pushes it in the room then closes the door as he leaves.
"Thanks, I swear I'm gonna fall asleep walking.  At least Stan got manager parking and got us an apartment that's better than the regular program rooms."
Richie smiles at the exhausted Eddie.
"Yeah perks of befriending the manager."
Richie runs in front of Eddie then squats a little.
"Hop up!"
Eddie rolls his eyes and smiles.
"Richie.."
"What I can carry you, you're as light as a feather!"
Richie shouts. Eddie breathily laughs then climbs on his back. They hadn't done this since back when they had to cross a creek in a group hike in high school  and Eddie didn't want to wet his shoes.
"Recon staniels done?"
Richie says in a southern accent as they push through the crowd to get in the breakroom in the castle.
"Nope we're definitely gonna have to wait at least another hour till 10."
Richie groans as they get into the breakroom where Bill is sitting on his phone.
"Did the rest of the gang leave?"
Eddie asks, sliding off Richie's back and plopping in a chair.
"Mike patty and Ben all got off and Bev is doing costume stuff but said she wasn't stopping by before leaving."
Richie sits next to Eddie on the circle table.
"God why can't we take two cars"
Richie pouts.
"Because you totaled yours dumbass"
Eddie says pointedly at Richie who laughs.
"H-hey when's twenty four hour night?"
"Oh god I don't know New Years I think."
Bill and Richie laugh
"Aw spaghetti you're just mad because you have to prance around as little princie for most of the time."
"Hey! I actually get to dress in pajamas and go to the sleepover party to 'supervise' witch means I get to dance with random people and keep an eye on the suit characters"
Richie laughs
"Me too! I think Stan put us all on that duty so we can spend time with each other or something"
Eddie and Bill nod in agreement.
" I-it's not f-for a while t-though but hey Christmas is now less than a month away"
"I'm so excited for the decorations!"
"Are none of us going home for break and working?"
"I think so"
Suddenly the door bursts open.
"Alright boys! let's head out!"
Stan says turning off the lights. Eddie looks at the time and it's 10:30.
"Hey Richie"
Eddie makes grabby hands at Richie to get on his back not wanting to walk to the car. Richie blushes and smiles turning around and Eddie gets on his back.
"Jesus your such a baby"
Stan laughs as they all walk out of the park to Stan's car.
"Shut up trashmouth"
Eddie says sliding off Richie's back. Eddie opens the back door to sudanley and him and Richie slide in the back. They all drive down the street to the apartments. The four of them walk into the apartment immediately, all taking off their shoes. Bill jumps and lays on the couch picking up a controller.
"Bill don't stay on too long it's already late"
Stan yells as he walks to his room. Eddie and Richie share a room and there are two bathrooms in the apartment which is nice.
"Dibs on the shower"
Eddie says yelling running into the bathroom. Richie only laughs and waits till he's in the shower to go in.
"Richie what the hell?!"
"I had to pee!!"
Eddie giggles and continues his shower. Richie starts to brush his teeth. Eddie sticks his head out of the curtain.
"Hand me my towel perv?"
Eddie says with a smile, Richie laughs and grabs Eddie's cotton candy pink towel. It ended up that way after it was washed with Richie's obnoxiously red towel. He hands it to Eddie who turns off the water and gets dried standing in the shower. He walks out with the towel around his waist and leaves cracking the door.
"I'm gonna change you should put probably shower now"
Eddie yells Richie looks through the crack to respond but quickly turns away realizing Eddie had already dropped his towel. Luckily  Eddie wasn't  facing him so he didn't notice.
When Richie came out and changed Richie realized Eddie was asleep on his side phone unplugged in his hand  and was laying on top of his comforter. Richie sighs fondly taking his phone from his hand plugging it in and setting it on his nightstand. He pulled the fuzzy throw on the end of the bed over Eddie tucking him in. Eddie adjusts and half consciously mutters.
"Thanks Love u"
Richie heard thanks and didn't make out what else he said
"What?"
He asks but is met with a sleepy hum from Eddie. He decided to ignore it and went to head to bed.
