18☆ Happy New Years

"WAKE UP EVERYBODY IT'S FIVE! TIME TO GET SERIOUS NEW YEARS EVE BITCHES!"
Richie says yelling bursting out of his and Eddie's room fully dressed. Eddie comes out behind him  rubbing his eyes.
"You're so dramatic. Who wants coffee?"
Eddie says pulling out three mugs already presuming only him and Stan and Connor want it.
"Here I'll take over the coffee"
The already dressed Stan says.
"Thanks Stan"
Eddie says head falling for a moment falling asleep  before jolting back up.
"Ed's go get dressed maybe it'll wake you up"
Richie says laughing and ruffling Eddie's hair. Eddie smiles and goes back into his room putting on sweatpants and a T-shirt knowing he just has to change anyways and it'll be easy to wear under whatever onesie they give him for the pajama party.
"So Connie, how was the flight?"
Richie asks both of them leaning on the counter next to each other.
"It was pretty good actually, I met a nice girl next to me but uneventful"
Connor says putting his head on Richie's shoulder and Richie puts his head on top of his.
"That's good, sorry how crazy everything is"
"There's nothing that you could've done but at least he's gone now"
Connor says as Richie gives him a hug.

Everyone eventually gets ready and they drive to Disney together. Richie changes and meets Connor in the front.
"Welcome to Disney! My name Is Richie and I'll be your tour guide. Today we're going to explore the magical world and welcome you to our twenty four hour event for New Years!"
Connor laughs and punches Richie's arm.
"Alright no more of the script please. I like the blue shirt and look at this little name tag"
Conor flicks it and Richie laughs.
"Ok ok let's get started"
Richie and Connor go around all day riding rides and eating food. The sun sits low in the sky about to set.

Eddie stands backstage nervously. Once it gets dark their special new years show will begin and Eddie actually gets to sing this time which is new because normally only the princesses sing. Eddie looks across the stage and Mike gives him a thumbs up from behind the curtain. Hie thinks to himself he'll be ok Richie is there for him
"Eddie!"
A hushed voice says from behind him and he turns to see Will who gives him a hug.
"Hey your gonna do great Eddie break a leg"
"Thank you Will, you better get out before Sasha sees you."
Will nods and leaves. The music begins  and the princes all walk out to their positions and take their turns singing. Eddie looks around the crowd and Richie isn't there. His eyes widen for a moment panicking then his eyes land on Will who's smiling in encouragement. He gets his brain back on track and doesn't miss a beat. They continue the show and it went amazing Eddie and Patty walk out the cast exit to kids lined up fit them to greet. They say hellos and take a few pictures Will slowly leading them back to the main dressing room. Patty and him immediately jump around.
"EDDIE IM SO PROUD AHHH"
Patty yells huggin him.
"ARE YOU KIDDING PATTY YOU WERE AMAZING"
Will hugs Eddie next.
"You were so good!!"
Eddie smiles and starts to take off his costume with the assistance of Bev.
"Thank you"
"I gotta go to the other dressing room because that's where they put my onesie"
Eddie nods as Will leaves. Eddie sighs and sulks a little.
"Eddie what's wrong."
Bev asks, handing Eddie his piglet onesie. He quickly pulls it on zipping it up and putting his lanyard around his neck pinning on his name tag.
"Richie wasn't there."
Stan turns his head quickly from where he's talking to Patty.
"Wait what?"
He says and Eddie nods.
"He promised to be there and it hurt that he wasn't. This was important to me, I feel like I need to just give up. I'm just gonna hang with Will tonight he's with Con anyway. Hey can we leave early to watch the fireworks at the castle?"
Stan nods, Eddie smiles sadly and opens the door walking to the pj party meeting Will who's standing on the perimeter. They are there to help keep an eye on all the suit characters in toon town at the party.
"Hey hey! I have news, Stan said we can leave early to watch the midnight fireworks"
"Yes nice Eddie!"
They talk and a slower dance turns on.
"May I have this dance good sir"
They both laugh as Will bows. Eddie takes his hand and they move on the floor. Eddie puts his hands on Will's shoulders and will put his on Eddie's waist.
"So are you excited about singing in shows now?"
"Of course, I'm kinda sad Richie wasn't there"
Will internally rolls his eyes but thinks about Eddie and that they are best friends
"I'm sure he didn't mean it Eddie"
They talk and dance together making Eddie forget about everything and have a good time until they go walk towards the castle for New Years.

After a while when he was finally free Stan went to find Richie pinging his phone and tracking him in the park. He finds them in frontier land.
"Hey guys! Connor take this to thunder mountain on the fast pass line the girl will let you in I have to talk to Richie about work stuff"
Connor agrees, taking the paper from Stan and walking away.
"Stan what's going on."
Stan grabs his wrist and pulls them out of guests' ways where they won't make too much of a commotion.
"What in the HELL is wrong with you Rich!?"
"What are you on about Stan?"
Stan rolls his eyes
"Are you forgetting something? Maybe I don't know your best friend!!?"
Richie has a face of realization.
"Shit Ed's show"
Richie puts his hands on his hips and sighs.
"Damn I'm sure it's ok though I go to them all the time right?"
Stan pinches the bridge of his nose.
"Eddie sang in this one he wanted it to be a surprise you promised to be there, even worse you missed because you were with Connor."
"Shit... he knows I'd never do that on purpose I'd always choose him! You know he's my best friend. I care about him so much! I'd do anything for him, he's Ed's my Ed's!"
Stan shakes his head.
"YOU STILL DON'T UNDERSTAND RICHIE! EDDIES IN LOVE WITH YOU AND YOU LOVE HIM BACK!"
Stan didn't have any more patience with letting Richie figure it out by himself Richie was running out of time. Richies jaw hangs open and he runs his hands through his hair.
"Jesus... I'm in love with Eddie. Holy shit Stan. Oh god and he's with Will and I fucked up so bad."
"Him and will were going to watch the fireworks at the castle. I suggest you go before he makes his move."
"Oh my god.... what about Con?"
"I got it don't worry, Run Rich"
Richie kisses Stan's cheek and bolts through places he probably shouldn't be trying to make it. He stops when he sees Will in line for drinks at a stand.
"Hey Will, where's Ed's?"
He tries to act casual and not like he was just sprinting across the park.
"Oh he's over there"
Will points to Eddie in his piglet onesie.
"Ok thanks"
Richie says quickly before running over.
"Eddie, Ed's"
Richie moves them a bit out of Wills eyesight.
"Richie what do you want it's almost midnight, where's Will?"
Eddie tries to look over Rich , but he puts his hands on Eddie's shoulder making Eddie look at him.
"Eddie please"
Eddie nods and Richie steps back rubbing the back of his neck. Richie has to talk loud over the people.
"I'm really sorry about missing the show Stan told me why it was so important. I feel like shit it's just Conor was pulling me around and I forgot. I know I promised and I'm sorry I lost your trust."
"Richie you were with Connor why don't you just go back hang with him"
The crowd around them  starts counting
"FIVE! FOUR!"
"Eddie I just-"
Richie sighs
"THREE! TWO!"
"Eddie I- oh what the hell"
"ONE!"
Richie puts a hand on Eddie's cheek and leans fast, kissing him. Eddie stiffens but let's his eyes close, melting into the touch as Richie puts his other hand on Eddie's cheek, accidentally pushing down his hood but pulling him closer . Eddie stabilized by putting his hands on Richie's chest. They jolt back when they're startled by a pop they look up as the fireworks go off above their heads they both giggle then meet eyes again.
"I love you Eddie"
Eddie's eyes tear up and Richie wipes what spills over with his thumb.
"You don't know how long I've wanted to hear that, I love you too Richie"
They both smile and turn to watch the fireworks, Richie putting his arm around Eddie. Will stood behind them a few paces having watched it all happen and sighs knowing deep down Eddie would never be happy with him. Will had bought three frozen lemonades thinking Richie would stay.
"Hey guys I got us drinks, and I see Richie went for it finally"
Eddie blushes
"I sure did Willy boy"
Richie squeezes Eddie's shoulder and kisses the top of Eddie's head. They both take a drink from will.
"There y'all are"
Mike says the rest of the losers walk up including Connor.
They all smile looking at Eddie and Richie.
"Hey everyone, we're like boyfriends now. That is if that's cool with you Ed's"
"That is cool that is very cool"
They all laugh and Eddie turns to Will.
"Hey um Will this is Connor, Connor this is Will"
Connor blushes, shaking Will's hand and Will smirks. Bev whispers to the group.
"I think those two will be just fine"
And there they were Bev, Ben, Mike , Bill, Stan, Patty, Connor, Will, Richie, and Eddie all standing together staring at the fireworks finally all happy where they were meant to be.
