I can't believe it. Today, my life would change forever. Today, I'm marrying Chris. I was so excited and so nervous at the same time. Thankfully Una was with me- I don't know what I would do without her.

"How are you feeling?" she asked as she curled my hair.

"Nervous." I replied.

She put down the curling wand and placed her hands on my shoulders.

"You're going to be just fine, I promise."

I put my hand on hers and smiled.

"What would I do without you Una?" I asked.

"I don't know- that thought's too terrifying to think about." She said smiling.

I smiled back and she continued to do my hair and makeup. Once that was done, I went into the bathroom and slipped my dress on. It was a floor length white gown with a sweetheart neckline. It was simple, yet beautiful. I then slipped on my white pumps and stepped back into my room. Una was also ready- wearing a floor length baby blue dress and matching pumps. We both gasped in unison.

"Megan, you look so beautiful." She said.

"So do you."

I pulled her in for a hug and she held me tightly. We pulled away after a few moments.

"Shall we?" she asked, offering me her arm.

I nodded and linked my arm in hers. As we walked closer to the cargo bay, my heart began to race. I never thought I would be happy again, but here I am getting ready to marry the love of my life. As soon as we arrived outside, Una went inside and Spock came out.

"Thank you again for doing this." I said, smiling.

He nodded and said "Shall we, Counsellor?"

He offered me his arm and I took it. We took our positions and the doors opened. I was amazed at how the crew had transformed the space. I was even more surprised to see all the crew in attendance. As I slowly made my way down the aisle, I locked eyes with Chris. He looked extremely handsome in his dress uniform. I also saw Vice Admiral Yates- he must be officiating today. We eventually reached the front and Spock moved away. Chris took my hands in his and we stood opposite one another.

"We are gathered here today, not as Starfleet officers, but as friends, to celebrate the marriage of two of the Enterprise's finest. As Vice Admiral, the honour of joining these two people has fallen upon me. Before I can declare them husband and wife, Megan and Chris have prepared their own vows. Chris, you're up first."

Chris cleared his throat and said "Megan, from the moment you came into my life, I knew nothing would be the same. You are selfless, confident, kind, brave and beautiful and I am so excited to spend the rest of my life with you. I love you."

A small tear escaped and Chris gently wiped it away.

"Now you Megan." Vice Admiral Yates said.

I took a breath and spoke the words I have wanted to say for a long time.

"Chris, there arent enough words to express how much I love and care for you. Throughout everything, you have always been by my side- caring for me and putting my needs before your own. I love you with all of my heart and soul and I never want to spend a day apart from you."

I looked into Chris eyes and saw so much emotion. All I wanted to do was pull him into my arms and kiss him, but now wasn't the time.

"Christopher Pike, do you take Megan Bromley to be your lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold, to love and to cherish, in sickness and in health till death do you part?"

"I do." He said as he slipped a gold band onto my finger.

"Megan Bromley, do you take Christopher Pike to be your lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, to love and to cherish, in sickness and in health till death do you part?"

"I do." I said as I slipped the ring onto his finger.

"Then by the power vested in me by Starfleet Command and the United Federation of Planets, I now pronounce you man and wife."

Chris wrapped his arm around my waist, pulled me close to him and brought our lips together. I placed my hand on the back of his neck and deepened the kiss. Everyone around us began clapping and cheering, and this carried on as we pulled apart and made our way back up the aisle and out of the cargo bay.
