As darkness overtakes me
And silence nearly breaks me,
Surely my heart is racing
And death I'm nearly tasting.
Some twisted line of thought
Longs to see me in a drought—
No blood, no mind, just lost
Numb pain with pain—frost
'Freeze me out
Bleed me out'
My mind seems to scream
No one calls it an addiction,
So I'll call it what it isn't
Redemption
The pain's got me hooked
And everywhere I've looked
I'm the piece rook—
No one's watching this crook
The danger in my mind
Always suffocates my kind,
So I squeeze my throat and hide
Knowing I've slowly died
'Choke me out
Bleed me out'
My mind seems to scream
No one calls it an addiction,
So I'll call it what it isn't
Redemption
I'm praying
And crying
"Lord, why am I like this?
Why can't I quit this?"
My heart, it screams
For the pain, the pleasure
And I can't kick this habit
But I'm dying to kill it.
'Stomp it out
Shove it out'
My heart seems to scream

Damnation
I denounce you.
I renounce you.
