Beca was walking through the halls of Barden High in the morning, she was early for the first time in forever. Class didn't start for another 30 minutes. She was walking down the hall to her locker to get her books when someone hugged her from behind.
"Morning Beca!" Emily yelled.
"You know I hate public displays of affection and any physical contact with people. So why do you insist on hugging me every morning?" Beca asked. She was never the type of person to enjoy being touched. The whole school knew to never touch her, but Emily never really cared. Beca always had a soft spot for the younger girl so she never really got mad.
"I like hugging you in the morning. You're always warm and the mornings are always cold even in summer." Emily pouted, and Beca rolled her eyes but still patted Emily on the back.
They walked over to Beca's locker and started up a conversation. "Did you know that we have noobies joining us this year?" Emily asked the shorter brunette.
"I didn't know and I don't care. I just wanna get through my junior year without any complications." Beca closed her locker. "How do you even know that we'll have noobs this year? "
"Amy told me. Since she knows the school like the back of her hand, she was asked to show them around."
They spoke for a few more minutes then suddenly someone crashed into Beca. Whoever it was they were definitely ending up dead since they kept touching Beca to see if she was okay.
"I'm so sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going. Are you hurt? I really didn't mea-" the stranger's rambling was cut of by an angry Beca.
"Who the hell are you anyway?!"
"This is Chloe and she's new here. Along with her friends Aubrey and Stacie. I haven't told them about the rules yet so go easy on her." said the Australian girl next to Chloe. Beca didn't even notice her standing there. Beca raised her eyebrow still angry.
"Help me out here Legacy." Amy pleaded with Emily by using her nickname. For some reason it was hard for Beca to say no to Emily, and Amy was about to use that to her advantage.
"Come on Becs, class is about to start, and I don't want to be late on my first day." Emily whispered so she could try to calm Beca down. Thankfully it worked.
Beca shot a glare in the direction of the Australian girl before walking away with Emily.
"Piece of advice, NEVER and I mean NEVER try to talk to or touch that girl without her consent." Amy said to the three girls before her.
"Why not?" Stacie, the tall brunette asked.
"That girl is a ticking time bomb ready to explode at any moment. Just keep your distance like everyone else around here." Amy said as she walked forward to continue her tour.
Like always classes on the first day were just a bunch of get to know you games. Which meant Beca was absent in all her classes, all but gym which she couldn't skip because her teacher, Mr Griffin, hunted her down.
As soon as everyone was changed they all sat in a circle. "Okay, so today we'll be playing an icebreaker for us to now each other a bit better. Everyone go make an arc in front of the basketball net. When I give you the ball you take a shot, tell us about yourself then throw the ball to someone who hasn't had a turn." Mr Griffin explained.
All the kids had their turn until only six were left. The ball was passed to a blonde girl. She took her shot and made the basket. "Hi, my name is Aubrey Posen. I moved here from Chicago with my parents. I like soccer." She passed the ball a tall brunette.
The brunette to a shot and missed the basket. "Hi, my name is Stacie Conrad. I moved here from Chicago with my parents. I like volleyball." She passed the ball to a red head.
She took the shot and missed like most of the class. "Hi, my name is Chloe Bale. I also moved here from Chicago with may family. I like volleyball." She passes the ball to a blonde who missed her shot miserably.
"The name is Fat Amy, and you're living under a rock if you don't know me. I like exotic dancing." She passed the ball to a tall brunette who made the perfect shot.
"Hi, my name is Emily Junk. I've lived here since I was 10. I like music." She passed the ball to the last person who needed introducing. She also made the perfect shot. "Beca Mitchell. Lived here my whole life. What I like is none of your business." she threw the ball at Mr Griffin then walked away from the rest of the class.
"This is gonna be a long year." Mr Griffin sighed. "Class dismissed. You can go take a shower if you want or you can head out since this is the last class."
All the girls went to get a shower then change. Beca was the first one to finish so she sat there waiting for the bell to ring. Chloe saw her sitting alone so she walked over to her and extend her arm to shake the girl's hand.
The whole room went silent as the girls waited for Beca's reaction. When Beca didn't do anything Chloe took matters into her own hands by taking Beca's hand and holding it. What surprised Chloe was how hot Beca's hand was.
Beca was about to snap her hand off when Emily stepped in and took Chloe's hand from Beca. Emily led Chloe over to the other side of the room.
"You seem nice and all, but never try to touch Beca ever again. Didn't Amy tell you that?"
"She did, but what's wrong with being nice?" Chloe asked a bit confused.
"Beca's not much of a people person, so keep your distance please." Emily said. The bell rang and she walked away to her locker. She finished whatever she was doing then walked out the locker room with Beca.
All the girls in the room looked at Chloe shocked, but Chloe still didn't understand what was wrong with being nice.
