Stacie, Chloe and Beca were sitting in Emily's kitchen. They had spent the night with Kathrine. Beca's dad went to get breakfast at a diner.

It was only two days since Emily past and everyone was pretty much a huge mess.

Stacie hadn't gone home at all. She didn't even try to contact her dad. She was staying at Emily's house with Kathrine while Chloe was staying at Beca's house. Aubrey was at Amy's house.

"I'm back and I bought waffles and coffee." Beca's dad walked in with their breakfast.

"Finally, I'm starving." Beca grabbed some of the food.

"Morning girls, morning Peter." Katherine greeted as she walked into the kitchen.

"Morning, how are you feeling today?" Peter smiled.

"Better I guess." Katherine shrugged.

They all knew she was having a harder time than everyone else. She had just lost her only daughter and only child. The woman was very close to her daughter and had their future planned out but now she was supposed to do it without Emily.

"I know this isn't something you want to hear but we have to start planning Emily's funeral soon." Peter pursed his lips.

"It's okay. You're right we have to plan the funeral. I just don't know how to do it without having to admit that she's actually gone." Katherine let out a sad sigh.

Meanwhile at Benji's house Dr Applebaum was looking through everyone's medical records when he noticed something peculiar. He looked at the records over and over again. He heard a loud beeping noise and his tablet flashed red.

"Well there's something you don't see every day." He looked at his tablet once again and smiled.

Stacie was on her way home. Her mother wanted her to come back so she decided to drive back.

She walked in and went to the kitchen where both her parents were sitting.

"Where on earth have you been?! I've been trying to call you for days now! " Markus yelled.

"Hello to you too." Stacie rolled her eyes.

"Don't you dare roll your eyes at me young lady."

"Hi mommy." Stacie smiled and hugged her mother completely ignoring her dad.

"Hey, sweetie. Have you eaten yet?"

"Yeah, but I can go for some apple juice though."

"Stacie, I am talking to you. Where have you been?" Markus asked with a frown.

"Do you really care or are you just pretending to care?" Stacie asked.

"What are you talking about? Just tell me where you were."

"Look, you aren't a test paper so I don't owe you any answers." Stacie glared before going up to her room.

"What has gotten into her lately? She shuts me out and I don't know what I did wrong." Markus sighed.

"Just give her some time. One of her friends seems to be sick so she's being a bit distant." Linda tried to reassure him.

Stacie flopped onto her bed. She took out her phone and looked through her photos. She looked at the ones she took with her dad before they moved. Then she looked at the ones she took with and of Emily before she went on the mission.

Stacie blinked and that's when she realized that she had tears in her eyes. She let out a quiet sob as she remembered how pale Emily looked. She remembered how Emily's smile was so beautiful, bright and warm that it would put the sun to shame.
