Beca and Lilly were looking around the mayor's office while everyone else was at his house. Beca opened his drawer to find a bunch of useless papers. She then had Lilly open the one that was locked really well.

"Holy Shit! This guy steals a hundred thousand from the bank every month. He also made a payment a few months ago to a weird account." Beca said.

"I can trace that account just give me a second. Meanwhile you have to look for something else. Find anything else incriminating." Benji said through the communicator.

Beca kept looking through the papers then she saw something weird. There was a payment from DC to the mayor for a hundred robots.

"This guy is selling a hundred unstable robots to the president." Beca whispered.

"Beca, you and Lilly have to pick up the pace. Thomas will be there in about ten minutes." Emily said through the communicator.

After putting everything back where the found it, the two girls headed back to Benji's. An hour and half hours later the others walked in.

"Okay, since everyone is here I guess I can tell you what I found. The unknown account belongs to a crew named The Butterfly Wings." Benji started.

"That name sounds so familiar." Beca frowned.

"It should. That's the name of the crew you guys fought about five times in a row. After the last fight you guys were put on trial." Benji explained.

"So he paid them to fight us?" Emily raised an eyebrow.

"He paid them to blow things up while you fight them. He framed you for the property destruction." Benji answered.

"Why would he do that?" Aubrey asked.

"That's what they're going to find out tomorrow. You guys are gonna have to confront him about this." Dr Applebaum said while pointing at Beca and her team.

"Okay then I guess we're interrogating our mayor tomorrow." Beca smiled.

"You know normal teens hangout at the mall not plan to get their mayor arrested." Flo commented.

"Well it's a good thing we're not normal teens then." Beca smirked.

Benji smiled before telling everyone his plan to expose the mayor to the whole town and the president.

After the planing everyone sat in front of the huge monitor to watch a movie even after Beca strongly disagreed.

"This movie is so boring." Beca groaned.

"Come on babe the movie is fine. It's funny and inspirational." Chloe smiled as she removed her head from the brunette's shoulder.

"It's a cartoon about a wanna be ballerina and an idiot who thinks chickens can fly. This movie isn't even from this year." Beca complained.

"Can you just shut up and let us finish the movie? You can be so childish sometimes, you know that?" Emily frowned.

"This coming from the girl who watches Barney and Friends along with The Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Teletubbies every morning." Beca rolled her eyes.

"Just shut your trap and let her watch her movie." Stacie told Beca.

"I'm sorry, I'm really confused right now. Are you her girlfriend or are you her mother?" Beca asked with a smirk.

"That's it! Come here you little goblin!" Emily yelled before getting up from Stacie's lap and chasing Beca around the base.

"Watching those two is way more amusing than any movie." Flo said as everyone laughed at the two close friends.

Emily and Beca eventually sat back down to finish the movie making everyone laugh at their childishness.

The next day the Guardians except for Emily were at the mayor's office waiting for him to show.

When the mayor finally showed up he was with Markus, Carlos and Matthew.

"What are you doing in here?!" the mayor yelled.

"Calm down would you? We just want an explanation from you." Beca smiled.

"What explanation?" the mayor asked.

"Just explain why you framed us for destruction of property, why you're selling unstable robots to the president, why you're stealing money from the bank every month. The list goes on forever." Jesse answered.

"How do you know about that?"

"We have our ways. Just tell us why you framed us." Cynthia said.

"What guarantee did I have that you guys weren't gonna turn on me and the town."

"So you did it because you were afraid of someone with more power than you." Flo frowned.

"Exactly. I then had people experiment on you so that I could know how to hurt you if you ever got out of control."

"Okay, now explain why you're giving the president faulty goods." Beca frowned.

"For the money due. She pays me and if the robots fail I get to blame you once again."

"Whoa that's not fair. They didn't do anything and what if the robots hurt the president?" Markus asked.

"That is not my problem nor is it yours." Thomas glared.

"Actually it is. We're soldiers which mean we protect the country, it's people and it's leader." Carlos glared.

"So what? You guys work for me now. Who cares if you go back on your word as soldiers?"

"I do. I am not gonna have you turn into the bad guy. In fact I have the right to arrest you." Matthew said stepping forward.

"If you do that I'll pin the malfunctioning robots on you when I explain what happened to the president. I'll also tell everyone that you mercilessly killed Volt which is what you did. I wonder what your daughters would think." Thomas smirked .

"You wouldn't." Markus' eyes widened.

"Oh he will. He can do whatever he wants which is why we want to make a deal." Jesse said.

"What deal?" Asked a confused mayor Thomas.

"We'll give you a secure account number. Your job is to put one hundred thousand dollars in it every month starting today. That shouldn't be a problem since you steal that much money every month." Beca smirked.

"Or what freaks?"

"I was hoping you'd say that. If you don't we'll tell the president about what you did." Cynthia smirked.

"What makes you think she'll believe your word over mine?"

"There's a bunch of papers here that prove that you're not the good guy you pretend to be. I'll just show her those." Beca smirked.

"Fine, you win Phoenix. Just give me the damn account number."

Beca smirked before giving him the number. He then stomped out the office leaving the heroes alone with the soldiers.

"I'm sorry about your friend. She didn't have to die, she just....." Markus trailed off.

"Don't you dare talk about her like you were her friend." Beca snapped.

"I get that you're mad but why would you expect a bribe? Aren't you guys heroes?" Matthew asked.

"What makes you think it's a bribe?" Flo smirked before they walked out the office.
