The Date
He let her lead him into the city. He tried to watch every move they made, make markers in his head for if he ever had to go alone but so he got lost, simply. Everything looked so confusing and similar in this part of town.
To his surprise Momo seemed like she knew where they were no matter what was in the way. Soon she pointed at a lovely little cafe. Then Shoto saw it and suddenly realized why it was so far into the city. Cat Cafe....he Loved cats. Did she know that? He never told her and they don't have any at his house. He looked at his fiancé and began to ask but was cut off. "I heard you talking to your sister and I wanted to give you a surprise so I found a cat cafe in town and thought you'd like to go!" Her bubbly nature and attitude made him smile.
Momo truthfully enjoyed seeing her fiancé happy like this. Since the start of their engagement he had stated multiple times the he stated he wanted to leave. If not to be around her then to just go somewhere else away from him. Momo has heard rumors and now that she was technically part of his family the children told the truth...and it was worse then all the rumors.
Shoto pulled her into the shop almost impatiently. The moment he was inside he went to pet the first thing near him which happened to be a kitten. A calico one with amber yellow eyes. Shoto scratched her head gently before picking her up with his left the warmth comforting the kitten.
Momo smiles watching her fiancé, she got them a table and they sat down in a booth across from one another. There were many cats there but in Shotos eyes there was never enough. He tried to pet every one he could. Even trying to pick them up sometimes.
By the time they got their food Shoto had had at least 3 scratches on his cold arm over the cats freaking out at him coldness. Clearly they preferred the hot. When he would use that side to pet or pick them up just loved him.
They shooed the cats away to eat for a moment in peace. "So do you wanna do some training when we get back to the dorm?" Momo asked him as she picked at her food before eating it. Shoto thought for a moment then nodded some. "But I'm not fighting you. I can't control my quirk enough. I'm not burning my wife." His voice was careless and honestly sounded like it didn't matter but Momo knew better. He only refused like that when he became protective.
Once they had had their fill of the cats they turned to leave, Shoto held the door for Momo before walking besides her and sliding his fingers between hers. He leaned down and kissed her head lovingly as a thank you. As they walked back to the dorms Shoto though of how he could pay her back for taking him there. Nothing seemed like a good idea.
After a few minutes of Momo leading Shoto through the busy city they had found themselves in the park near the dorms. They both decided they didn't wanna go back to the dorm quiet yet, they were just fine with each other. Shoto sat on the bench under a large tree as Momo sat beside him with a happy bubbly smile, suddenly Shoto became very glad he had accepted this forced marriage. For without it he'd have never had the chance to meet her and that was something he was quickly hating the thought of.
They stayed there, on the bench, in the empty park for a while. They weren't talking about anything special, not even about the wedding. In fact they'd hardly said any words to each other since they had gotten there. Both were simply enjoying the others company and the lovely pinkish orange sunset before them. They knew they'd have to leave soon to get back to the dorms before Aizawa scolded them but they weren't to worried about it.
To them, little moments like this we the best. Where they were together and yet still separate enough to where it wasn't suffocating. They knew they were young and most forced marriages ended up with one or both parties cheating or becoming toxic to the other on account of never wanting the thing in the first place. But these two didn't want to think about that and didn't believe they'd have that issue. They had begun to really love each other, from how they looked to how they acted. They were becoming perfect in each other's eyes and both teens were fine with that.
