At one starry night after dinner, both Shravya and Pranay were standing on top of the deck, while watching the unlimited sea! The full moon was shining on top of their head. Moon looked so huge from the sea. As if the sea would leed them directly to the moon.
Shravya murmured, while still looking at the waves,
"The sea looks scary at night, right?"
Pranay was looking at her, instead of sea. Time has drawn thin lines on her forehead. Her eyes too were no more shiny like before. He continued to look at the woman who fought with life, throughout her life.
He slowly held her fingers. Shravya kept looking at the sea, undisturbed. Light touches couldn't raise her heartbeat in this age now, how it used to happen back when she was a teen-ager.
That's when she felt something existing in her palm. She found a paper chit when she looked at her palm. Now her heart started raising the speed without caring for the age.
On the paper, there were written those very familiar three words. In same familiar writing and same green ink.
Someone was proposing her at the age of fourty eight and her heart was eager to say 'yes'. Though she didn't say yes, but she didn't deny too. She slowly said,
"Let me....let me ask the children for once!"
Pranay thought for sometime, then said,
"Ask yourself too, for once at least!"
He silently went away from there, after saying that. She looked at his back untill he was no more visible. Corners of her eyes were wet. Shravya wanted to stop Pranay, but she couldn't. She returned back to her cabin after gathering back parts of her confused mind, parts which had their own perspective for her situation. One part wanted to be stucked to her kids, one wanted to just let go everything, and one part wanted to concentrate only on Pranay.

Next morning, Shravya was back to Mumbai Port. Pranay was no where to be seen since last night, after their meeting on the deck. She went to a nearby hotel after coming down from the ship, and checked in.
Settling down a bit, she called her children. Both were busy, as always.
"Let's talk in evening, Mom. Call you later!"
They said, but Shravya interrupted them by saying,
"Five minutes only, I've to say something!"
And she gathered every drop of strength in her body and told them that she wanted to spend her remaining life with Pranay.
There was no sound for some time. In last few years, her children were habituated to keep silence on her words, her advices and complains or whatever she had to tell them as a mother, but today they weren't silent, they were angry. It was called the calm before the storm.
