CHAPTER ELEVEN - Nightmares

"Ameeynaturh please" Ra'eesah begged her friend for the umpteenth time.
"Habibty I'm used to loneliness. Never mind about me. Just go home" She replied with tears in her eyes.

"Don't be stubborn. Please let's go home. I'll always be there for you. You know that. So I am begging you in the name of Allah. For the last time hayati, let's go" Ra'eesah said with a tone of finality.

"Daddy she finally agreed" Ra'eesah said smiling once they entered the living room.

"Ah that's very good" he smiled. "Welcome home Ameenaa" Daddy smiled at Ameeynaturh.

"Good afternoon daddy". She greeted him.
"Afternoon dear. Make yourself at home.. "I'll go to a friend's house. He said to Ra'eesah.

"Earth to Meenatouu"! Ra'eesah said bringing Ameeynaturh back to the world.

"Oh hey..  You were saying? " She asked massaging her forehead.

"Look Ameena, we all had a rough past I know.. Maybe yours is worse than mine.. But please don't let that affect you. Mind you, I'm always here for you if you are willing to open up" Ra'eesah spoke as she held her friend's hand.

Ameeynaturh nodded in reply.

"Hey your phone is ringing" Ameeynaturh said handing over the phone to Ra'eesah.

"Salaam Alayki. Saajie.. How are you doing? Oh yeah. Where are you? Do you have enough money with you? Then board the next car to Kaduna please. I'll pick you up there. Just call me when you arrive". She said and hung up.

"Could you imagine they threw her out of the house? Ya Rabbi they are so heartless" Ra'eesah continued to rant..

"Shut up and tell me what's going on" said Ameeynaturh.

"Mommy is from Katsina y'know.. So after the incidence, she was sentenced to two years imprisonment but was bailed. So they had no choice but to pack their clothes from here and move to their family house in Katsina. There, everyone talked ill about Saajidah.. Saying she's possessed and all that. Last last they sent her out of the house". She finally said as she inhaled and exhaled heavily.

Ra'eesah

Done getting ready, Ameeynaturh and I went to pick Saajidah.
Daddy bought me a car last year as my birthday gift. So yeah! I drive but not frequently thou.

Saajidah would always have a space in my heart. She was there with me when I had no one. When I almost gave up on life. She is just like the sister I never had. I never thought I'll smile.
And Ameeynaturh! My dearest roommate, best friend and a sister. She is a friend in disguise.

"We are here" I said to Ameena as I dialed Saajie's number.

"Lemme go help her with the bags" I smiled as I headed to her.

"God I missed you soooo much Saajieee" I uttered full of enthusiasm giving her a bone crushing hug. I helped her with the bags as we headed to the car.
