~ Michael POV ~

Beetlejuice hasn't been to my house again. Instead of him, Jeremy wanted to come over. My moms don't mind, so he came.

"Hey, Jere!" I say, opening the door. I try to sound cheerful as possible, but it is difficult. "Hey..." Jeremy says. I know how sad Jeremy is about Christine.

We walk to my bedroom, 'cause I don't think Jeremy wants to get stoned in the basement right now. Maybe I should tell him the truth... I DON'T MEAN I'M GONNA TELL HIM I HAVE A CRUSH ON HIM- I mean, I'm going to tell him about Beetlejuice, Adam and Barbara.

When we get to my room, Jeremy sits on my bed. I sit next to him. "So.. how do you feel?" I ask. "It cwould be bwetter.." he mutters.

I take his hand. "It's all going to be okay, Jeremy.. and uh.. I have to tell you something." He looks at me. "Oh?" "You remember when we were in Lydia's house and I said I saw people? I think those were ghosts. I think I can see ghosts."

Jeremy looks weird at me. "Ghosts? They aren't even real-" "No, you don't get it. I was in a park and then this weird demon came to me. I found out that his name was Beetlejuice and you had to say his name three times in a row to make it visible."

It's quiet. I don't know if Jeremy believes me.

"And then?" He said after a while.

"I walked away. But at Jake's party I got a little sad and went to the bathroom- " "Wait, why were you sad?" "Um, well, I don't know... I saw you and Brooke kissing and-" "You were jealous?"

Did he notice it? Did he know I like him?

"Well, jealous isn't the right word-" "I don't even remember kissing Brooke..."

"Wait. You were just drunk?" "I guess?" For some reason I was very happy about this. "Uhm, well, back to the story." I continue, "I.. I noticed that there were flames in the bathroom and Beetlejuice came to me. He told me that if I helped make him visible, he would save me..."

Jeremy looks at me. His mouth drops open slightly. I have to say something. "J-Jeremy.. Sorry. I know you shouldn't have this too-" Jeremy's eyes shows me to stop talking. "And you said his name three times..."
