Henry's P. O. V.
"I'm going out tonight, Moses." I tell my doorman as I shrug on my jacket and slick back my hair. "Yes sir. I'll be seein' ya." He says as I hop on my horse and ride off.
Samuel Alexander is a friend of mine, who runs a bar a little bit past Bourbon Street. It attracts the usual clientele. But it's a place to get a drink. As I order a whiskey neat,my attention is suddenly shifted to her. The slender, beautiful girl that just came downstairs with Samuel. She's not fully clothed, and is still lacing up her corset when she enters the bar. Her skirt is on, just not the whole ensemble, and I'm surprised to see her in ragged boots and not the usual shoes worn by women in her profession. Anyways she finishes lacing up the corset and comes to the bar for a drink, spending the money Samuel just slipped her. I'm used to talking to women, but when I see her it's like something has happened to me that has never happened before. She looks sad, dejected, tired out."Hey sailor." She says in an almost Irish accent. It's definitely there, just not as predominant. "Hello Miss." I say and finally focus my attention officially on her. She's got reddish-brown hair that tumbles down her back and small freckles. Blue-green eyes and a amazing smile. "If you give me a minute to finish my drink, I'll take care of you upstairs." She says as she finishes her drink then takes my hand and leads me up the stairs. She closes the door behind us and I feel my heart race as I say: "I really don't-" but she all ready has my jacket on the floor, followed by her skirt and my pants. I take her hand and say: "Darling, you don't have to do this." "I do." She says and then lays back on the bed. "If I want my daughter to eat and have her medicine then I have to do this." I sigh and strip off my clothes, then lay down beside her. I want to help her. I need to help her, but I refuse to do it by violating her. It's obvious she's been ruined by all these other men, and I refuse to be like them.
