Henry's P.O.V.

"My dearest Henry. Analeise turned 9 yesterday. The doctors are going to move her to a cane now. They say that something is changing with the disease. Her legs are improving and she is in less pain. She still will have a cane until she's 20,but right now that is a long ways off. Things can change. I miss you my darling, James looks more like you everyday and my heart breaks everytime I see him. Please come home dearest Henry. Please. I don't think I care who wins this war so long as you are back in my arms. Love always, Victoria."

It's been a month since I've seen Victoria. All I have seen is death. I pass the rotting corpses of my fellow men everyday in the battlefield. The smell is like nothing I have ever experienced. The dirt and rodents are uncontrollable. I long for my wife and children as I know so many of the other men in my regiment do too.
