"Oh come on! This guy's a hacker!"

"Shut up and play the game Ryuji. You're just salty that they're better than you."

There's a grunt on the other side, "They are not! It's just an off day!"

"Hah!" Ren laughed as Ryuji was killed, "Maybe you should choose a character relevant in the meta."

She took out the last opponent, granting her team the victory. She looks to the side, god where is he? Shaking her head, she focused back on the screen.

"Ah damn! Mom says that I gotta get off. Are we on for Thursday?"

Nodding, even though she knew Ryuji couldn't see her, she responded, "Yeah, and it'll prove just how bad you are at this!"

"Well, excuse me princess! Doesn't your brother usually make you get off by now?"

"He does, but he hasn't come back yet," she bit her lip, "That's what's worrying me."

"I hope he's okay, but you should get some sleep if you want to compete with me!"

"Oh my god, Ryuji."

He laughed on the other end of the line, "Alright! Fine! I'm getting off now!"

Sighing, she stood up. Checking her phone, there was nothing new. She sighed again, then went to bed.

~~~
"Ren! Ren! Wake up! Now!"
She was half conscious, blinking, and sitting up. Her parents had never woken her up like that before. Confusion washed over her, had something happened? That thought woke her up. What if something happened to Akira? What if he got hurt? What if he was dead? Her breathing was fast now, and she was panicking.
Her father's voice called out, "Ren! Get dressed now! We need to go!"
She knew it was best to follow her father's directions. Standing up she put on one of her normal outfits, deep magenta turtleneck, skinny black jeans, combat boots (which she would put on at the door), and a brown leather jacket. She tied her hair up with a bandana the same color of her shirt and put on her glasses. Grabbing her phone, she left.
She rushed to the front door. Her parents were waiting for her, looking extremely worried. She gulped, "What happened?"
They looked up, "Oh, Ren! It's terrible! Akira's- Akira's!"
Her mother looked hysterical, she was crying, and looked like someone just died. Like someone just died... Oh god no, no no no no nononononononononononononononononononononono!
"Akira assaulted a man last night," her father elaborated, "The man he attacked is suing. We're going to pick your brother up."
She let out the breath she didn't know she was holding. Her brother, her other half, wasn't dead. That's all she could ask for. Even if it meant that her brother could be going to prison, at least she could see him again.
The family then went to pick her brother up and to hear the whole story.
~
"You don't need to come with me."
"Of course I do! I'm your twin sister! The farthest we've been apart is on the other side of town, not several cities away."
Akira sighed in defeat, "I still don't get why you believe me. No one else does."
"If you say that you didn't attack that man, then you didn't attack that man! Besides, God only knows how well you're gonna fare in Tokyo," she laughed.
Ren had always wanted to go to Tokyo, but these were not the circumstances she thought it would be under. Akira, her precious twin brother, was on probation because he "assaulted" a man. She decided to join him, and now they were going to live with a family friend and transferring to Shujin Academy. It could be a lot worse though. At least they were allowed to go together. They would get through everything together, no matter what.
