"Bye Coffee Dad!"

"Coffee Dad?"

"Bye!"

Ren left Leblanc, heading to school. She figured it would be better to be early on her first day. She had tried to convince Akira to do the same, but he just loved his sleep too much. Making her way to the subway, she began to think about how she would present herself. Clearly there would be rumors, who knows what they would be about.

While she was waiting for the train, she messaged Akira, just to remind him that she had already left. The train didn't come too long after that. Unfortunately, she couldn't find a seat. She stood near the door, pressed against the wall.

The train then took a turn, and someone was pushed onto her, "Ah, I'm sorry. Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine. Thanks for asking," the stranger pushed themselves off of her, revealing his red eyes to her. He looked to be about her age, with caramel hair. He looked a little familiar, and a little uncomfortable. She didn't have much time to look at him though, as the train stopped at her station, "Um, bye. Thanks for not being an asshole and apologizing."

With that, she left the train. She didn't see the boy reach down (to the best of his abilities) and pick up her phone.

~

She had reached Shujin Academy thirty minutes before school was supposed to start. Ren made her way to the faculty office to meet with her new homeroom teacher, Ms. Chouno.

"I'm at least glad that I didn't get the problem child," Ms. Chouno began, "and you're a polite one too. The student council president, Makoto Nijima, has offered to show you around the school. What a responsible young woman. She's waiting in the student council room. Let's go."

"Thank you, Ms. Chouno."

They stood up, and Ren was shown the way to the student council's office, "Well here it is. Behave yourself and everything should be okay. I'll see you in class later."

Ren opened the door and inside was a girl with brown hair. God, why does everyone have cool hair?

"Ah, you must be one of the transfer students. I'm Makoto Nijima, student council president. It's nice to meet you," the girl held her hand out.

"My name is Ren Kurusu. It's a pleasure to meet you, Senpai."

Nijima smiled, "Well, let's get this tour started shall we?"

~

Overall, Nijima was a pleasant person to be around. Her tour was thorough, and though it would take a while to get used to the school, Ren now knew where everything was. Her regal air originally made Ren a little nervous of Nijima, and she was definitely worthy of her title. Nijima had made sure everyone was following the school rules on Ren's tour, and even went over the more important of the rules.

They stopped in front of her classroom, "This is your classroom. I hope you have a wonderful time at Shujin."

"Yes, of course. Thank you, Senpai," Ren bowed as Nijima walked away. She turned to the door and opened it. The tour took most of the time left before class, so there was only about five minutes left before class. It was then that she remembered that she wasn't supposed to enter the classroom until the teacher asked her to. She closed the door immediately then stepped off to the side. She started to fish around in her bag to find her phone, but couldn't find it.

She furrowed her brow, then set her bag on the ground to do a thorough search. She dug through her bag several times but could not find her phone. Oh god, Coffee Dad is gonna kill me.

Akira looked at his phone. He was expecting some sort of text from his sister about making sure to wake up and make it to school on time. If she wasn't going to text him, then he might as well call her.

"Hello?"

Okay. That voice was not Ren's.

"Who are you and why do you have my sister's phone?"

"Oh you know her? I accidentally bumped into her on the subway. Her phone must have fallen out of her bag. She didn't seem to notice though, so I picked it up in hopes of returning it to her."

"Uh-huh. How do I know you don't want to keep the phone to yourself?"

There was a pause, "She goes to Shujin, right? She was wearing their uniform. I could go there when school is over and give her back her phone."

"...Fine," Akira agreed. The boy on the other end didn't seem to have any ulterior motives, "If she doesn't have it back by tonight, I'm filing a police report for stolen property."

"Haha," the voice laughed nervously, "She'll have it back. Don't worry."

~~~
Heehee. That took a while to get out, and it's a short chapter. Sorry about that! hope you enjoyed anyway!
