Akira came home late. He was late going everywhere today. Ren just glared at him from over near her new friend, Jeff. She stopped by a plant shop on the way home and bought some stuff for the poor thing. Akira just ignored her, "What did Coffee Dad say?"
"Are you seriously gonna keep calling him that?"
"What. Did. He. Say."
"That I'm on probation, cause anymore trouble and I'll get killed, why can't you act more like your sister. You know, the usual."
Ren sighed. Everyone had always compared the two. Ren was outgoing, while Akira preferred to just be with his sister. Ren was responsible, Akira always had to be reminded to do things. Ren was the good child, Akira was the bad one. That was what people thought. It just wasn't true though. Akira was simply himself, and that's all Ren could ask for.
He walked over to the bed and just face planted on it, "You okay there, bud?"
"'M turd," his voice was muffled by the bed.
Ren decided to annoy her brother before she would go to bed, "You're a turd? Glad you finally admitted it to yourself."
Akira lifted his head up, "I'm tiiiiiiiiiiiiiirrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeeeeedddddddddddddddddd."
"Then go to sleep."
"Fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnneeeeee."

Akira woke up on time the next day, and went to school with Ren. It was raining, and Akira opened his umbrella. Ren had hers safely stored in her bag. They managed to squeeze onto a train together and had a pleasant conversation about Jeff.
When they reached their transfer, they were waiting in a crowd for the next train.
"Look, isn't that her?"
"You mean that one with the red ribbon? Uh, I guess so?"
Ren looked to the front of the crowd and- HOLY SHIT. That girl had a bow in her hair! It was so cute!
"She's so thin... It's not fair. I've got my hair in a ponytail too."
Okay, wow. What a bitch. Ren had her hair tied up in a ponytail with a bandana. It ain't unique.
"Okay, and what's that got to do with being thin?"
That's when the train came and everyone got on. The girl with the ribbon managed to snag a seat right next to where Akira and Ren were standing. There was an old woman in front of them though, who looked quite tired already.
"Please, take my seat," the girl with the ribbon stood up, "My station's coming up."
"Are you sure? Then..."
When the girl with the ribbon stepped out of the way, a business man took her seat before the old woman could. Asshole.
"Oh, wow. What speed. I mean- Excuse me, that seat was for this lady..." the man looked up slightly then started to fake snore, "Oh..."
Ahhhhh, the girl looked so sad! Ren couldn't sit and do nothing, but her brother beat her to saying something, "Want me to 'wake him up'?"
"It's alright. I can understand his position as well. I'm sorry I couldn't be any help."
