As Akira and Ren were walking to school, the two people in front of them continued to talk about the volleyball rally and how good the teachers' team was going to be.
"Are you excited Akira?"
He shook his head, "No, not really."
"And why's that?"
"The PE teacher, Kamoshida. He gives me some weird vibes. I don't like him."
Ren skipped ahead of him, then turned around and walked backwards, "Do you need your wonderful older sister to run a character test on him?"
Her twin snorted, "Yeah, why not. Then I'll 110% know he's an asshole."
Ren stuck her tongue out at him then went back to facing forwards, "I've noticed... even though we've only been in school for two days, we haven't spent as much time together since it started. I'm glad you're making friends who aren't me though. It just goes to show that you're a good guy!"
Akira didn't answer right away, "...Yeah. I can't believe you used to be my only friend."
"Considering you already have a new best friend, I can't believe it either!"
And because she was turned away from Akira, she couldn't see the frown on his face.

It was time to go get changed for the rally, but Ren had something to do first. The Sakamoto who became friends with Akira was in her class, and she was going to introduce herself. Luckily for her, he seemed to not want to go into the locker rooms to change when everyone else was there.
"Hey," she called, "You're Sakamoto right?"
"Eh? What's it to you?"
"You're my brother's friend right? His name is Akira, he's the transfer in Kawakami's class."
Sakamoto's eyes widened, "Oh you're his sister? He did mention that he didn't want Kamoshida to get to ya."
"Didn't want Kamoshida to get to me?" she cocked her head to the side.
"Uhhh, nevermind. I'm Ryuji Sakamoto, and, um, I like to play Spectacular Slam Sis."
"That's funny! I play Slam Sisters with a guy named Ryuji! What a coincidence!"
"Wait a minute, do you main C.Y.B?"
She nodded, "Do you play Big Wac?"
"No way! RabbitWabbit903?
"And you're xX_skull_run_Xx! Wow, I'd never thought I'd get to meet you in real life!"
"Honestly, neither did I! Can't believe that you're my new friend's sister at that."
"About Akira... Can you try not to get into any trouble? You probably already know he's on probation but you can never be too sure. I'd... I'd also like it if we pretended to be just classmates at school."
Ryuji looked confused, "Huh? Why?"
"Well," Ren began to play with her hair, an old habit she thought she had dropped, "He's never really had any friends before. I think he likes that he has a friend that he didn't make through me. I want to keep it that way. We can still play Slam! It's just that... he seems to have a lot of fun with you, and I don't want to get in between the two of you by hanging out with you when he would've wanted to hang out with you."
"Dang. It must be awesome to have a sister like you. I'm kind of jealous of Akira now. But don't worry. I gacha. At Shujin Academy, you're the sister of my friend and I'm the friend of your brother."
