XXV

That night, I let it all go. 

For that night, I was just Val. And he was just Javi. So I let myself love him. And I let him love me, too.

I woke up wrapped in his arms, the sunlight filtering through the closed curtains. I feel so tired and sore. Naramdaman kong nag-init ang mukha ko when I recall the events of last night. 

We made love a lot of times. Nung maalimpungatan ako nang madaling araw, I see him taking calls and working on his laptop. 

The stamina of this guy. 

He saw me awake and he smiled. I didn't know what came over me so I stood up in all of my naked glory and straddled him where he was sitting. Binaba nya agad ang phone niya at tinabi ang mga ginagawa niya. We made sweet love again before we went back to sleep.

Napakalandi mo, ang aga-aga yan na naman ang iniisip mo?! Pagkutya ko sa sarili ko.

Sinubukan kong bumangon, but I feel his arms tighten around me. He buried his head in my neck and breathed in deeply. He turned me around and looked at me, smiling.

"Good morning." Javi's muffled, sleepy voice greeted. He moved his face to give me a soft kiss on the lips.

I shyly responded. "G-good morning." Ngayon ka pa nahiya, kerengkeng ka.

"Where's my kiss?" He pouted, lips sticking out.

Nag-init na naman ang pisngi ko nang maalala ko kung saan pa dumapo yang mga labi niyang yan kagabi.

He chuckled, seemed to have read what's on my mind with that blush. "What's on your mind, love?"

"W-wala." I say, twisting to get up and get away from him. "I need to use the restroom." Mahina kong paliwanag nung mas lalo pa niyang hinigpitan ang yakap sakin.

"Kiss muna." He playfully requested. I glared at him. He pouted his lips. "Dali na, kiss mo ko."

I gave him a quick peck on the lips and stood up immediately but he was quick to pull me down on the bed. He turned me around so he was lying above me, pinning me down the bed.

"That wasn't a kiss." He teased.

"Javi!" Inis kong sabi, unable to meet his eyes.

"Look at me, love." He gently said.

I raised my eyes to meet his. As soon as I did, he smiled that beautiful smile of his, lighting his whole face. 

"I love you." He said before kissing me.

I feel myself melt. Javi, how can I let you go if you're being like this?

It was a peaceful morning. I cooked simple breakfast while he was taking calls and working. 

Siyempre kahit lumandi siya kagabi, may responsibilidad pa din siya sa bansa, ano po opo.

We were sitting beside each other in comfortable silence while eating, lost in our own thoughts, nung sabay kaming nagsalita.

"What time should we head back?"

"What are your thoughts in marrying me?"

I choke back what I was chewing, kaya naubo ako. He chuckled and gave me a glass of water while patting my back.

"Pucha, ano yon?!" I ask, glaring at him nung makarecover ako.
