One week on the job - you're doing well! I'll go easy on you. Imagine your ideal character, one you'd love to write about, whether it be Mary Sue because it's easy or another dragon because they're cool, just think of the character and write a poem-y thing from them to themselves. You heard me. Themselves.
So somebody forgot to tell us what the challenge was yesterday as pure proof that the sending it every day was a bad idea, that and I want to write it as soon as possible but everybody else is fine to be waiting until three in the morning.
Scarlet was bored. She wasn't usually bored when sitting in a massive library but today most of her favourite books where out to be checked since a storm the week before had blown a whole in the wall and blasted sleet everywhere. Oh and the Internet was down. She sighed and plonked herself down on a chair, pulling a pen and paper to her. She needed the practice anyway.
She put her ninth pen down five hours later and grinned at her masterpiece, it had taken one hundred and thirty seven false starts along with a few attempts at different things but she had managed it and now she needed to get outside and do something productive. She got up and left leaving to do open so that ten minutes latter the muddy cat could stroll in and jump up onto the chair and find the paper containing Scarlets life's work.
In a winter blizzard will you find I?
In a summer breeze will you find I?
In the autumn leaves will you find I?
In a spring bloom will you find I?
Nay you will not find I.
I will be hiding in the shadows of the willow trees,
I front of the fire in a winter storm,
Running through the fields will I
And running through the concrete jungle should I.
Or I shall be running through the amazon chased by tribes,
Hiding in a hole hiding from spies,
Fighting for life and for love shall I,
When I can not reach the willow trees,
For I should be trapped far far away,
In a land where ghouls and ghosts lurk,
And love and happiness shine,
For my head is as far as I need to move,
In a winter storm.
Though I'm sure I need help...
The rest was covered by either a fussy black cat or mud. Thank god Scarlet had already forgotten about it.
