24. ASDFGHJKL CHRISTMAS TOMORROW DECK THE F*CKING HALLS!!! Write a piece about the elves in the workshop, with two things you have to include. 1) Two elves have crushes on each other - keep in mind they're childish af - but one of their brothers doesn't want their sibling to date anyone, because they're overprotective, or they just don't like the elf, or whatever you decide. 2) Meanwhile, there's a problem in the workshop, and everyone is unsure if they'll be able to get all the presents and stuff done in time! :O Or, maybe Santa's injured or something; your call, but there has to be a problem :L MERRY CHRISTMAS EVE

Ievos was sitting at his desk and counting the number of presents made to see f they would have enough. Well Katar was Ievos was watching Lyre do the same job (he was supposed to be doing) over a clipboard, he thought he was being super stealthy until Lyre's partner, Amara, pointed him out and both girls dissolved into giggles and Katar rolled his eyes.

"How come you get all the good girls and you don't even acknowledge them?" He demanded putting his clipboard down and glaring at him.

"What's this I'm doing now then?" Ievos retorted.

"They aren't the good girls, well they are but when I say good girls I mean the bad ones because I think they'll be better kissers so they are the bad girls because they're good even though..."

"I've got you're point, but seriously she's just beautiful." Ievos sighed and Katar looked at him in horror.

"Beautiful? Beautiful? Dude can you hear yourself yesterday you said she was cute, which while a little discouraging is acceptable but beautiful? Dude you need to get out more." Katar insisted grabbing Ievos' face and turning it to look at him and then nodding it so that it looked like Ievos was agreeing. "Yes I do." He said in a terrible impression of Ievos' voice.

"I don't sound like that." Ievos snapped wrenching his head free and turning to star at Lyre again who was talking with Amara without a care in the world and constantly flicking her hair back out of her eyes so it swished in this mesmerising way. "I need help."

"Yes. Yes you do. I can call the mental asylum now if you want and we can go wait outside."

"What? No not that kind of help I need help getting her I don't think... No maybe?.... Do you think a mental asylum will get her?" Katar stared at him and than at Lyre before looking back to Ievos.

"Do you want my honest opinion or a good friend opinion or a good citizen opinion?" Ievos gave him a scathing look and he sighed. " In my honest oinion it won't matter what you do cuz you aint getting her, the good friend opinion says no that won't help and the good citizen one says I don't care you should be in an asylum, you should have been for the last decade but you aint so think of it as good will." Ievos sighed.

"Please help me get her?" He begged and Katar folded his arms and glared at him.

"No."

"I'll give you my tickets."

"Just go and ask her out now, if she say no say that I dared you. I'l be sitting here laughing to make it more convincing." Ievos nodded and got up giving himself a once over he deemed himself appropriate and gave Katar a worried smile. "You look great just remember about Zaor."  Ievos rolled his eyes.

"It's hard to forget. I won't get caught by him I have no interest in getting fired, and he will fire me you know how much he hats my guts and as superior elf he shouldn't be so biased."

"Yeah but he's very protective of her because oh you don't know." Katar grinned like Christmas had come early which didn't work because it was Christmas eve.

"Because what?"

"Oh nothing just don't get caught and get a move on, shift ends in an hour then you won't see her till February and I ain't putting up with your love shit." Katar gave him a shove and Ievos walked across the room to the girls, adjusting his hat, his throat getting dryer with each step. Amara nudged Lyre as he approached and promptly hid behind her clipboard.

"Hey Lyre." He greeted pleased he hear that he wan't a nervous mumbling idiot.

"Ievos." She greeted and smiled up at him in a way that made him suspect she new exactly what he wanted to ask but wouldn't help him out one bit.

"Um I was wondering if you know during break you wanted.. You and I could meet up somewhere for dinner or something or movies or something and er if that's okay with you if not then that's fine but I was just wondering because well I'd love to have you for dinner I mean see you for dinner or have dinner together not you know what I mean." He trailed off uncertainly. So much for not being a nervous mumbling idiot. Lyre looked up at him for a minute as if thinking hard before smiling.

"I'd love to, dinner sounds great a long as we both get to eat. Do you have a date and place in mind?" No actually he didn't think he'd get this far.

"How's January third sound at Chris's? You know then we can meet everybody else we want and have fun and get over the New Years hangover."

"I'd love that, see you at about six?" she asked rising her eyebrow. Damn she was cute when she did that.

"Sound's great." he smiled and turned around to come face to face with Zaor, well face to chest he was a lot taller than Ievos. "OH Sir I didn't see you there. Well I wouldn't would I you were behind me." He laughed nervously.

"What are you doing?" Zaor asked not impressed.

"Breathing." Ievos replied.

"You should be working not planning petty things."

"And breathing. Breathing helps." Ievos murmured and felt the desk behind him move had Lyre got up and stood next to him.

"It's not petty. Would you call a date petty?" she demanded and Ievos mentally groaned as Zaor glared very forcefully at him. Why did she have to say it was a date?

"What?" He said very quietly like a calm before a storm.

"It's my decision." Lyre snapped.

"But he's useless." Zaor said gesturing to Ievos and staring at Lyre like she had grown a second head. "You could do better I know a few people you could..." Lyre took a step forward and Zaor shut up.

"You don't control my life just because you're my brother."

"Broth-oh." Ievos gulped as Zaor glared at him again, he glanced over at Katar who was staring at the exchange wide eyed and Ievos was pretty certain he could see his phone filming the whole thing. Zaor waited a few seconds before huffing and marching away.

"Oh yeah." He turned around and Katar dropped the mobile. "The naughty/nice list has malfunctioned. We need it written out by hand. Have fun." Katar, Lyre and Amara started at while Ievos frowned.

"Have you tried turning it off and on?" Zaor glared at him and marched out.

"So a date?" Ievos said after five minutes just to break the silence and everybody laughed at him.

"Only if we don't get caught." Lyre said kissing him on the cheek and sitting back down. "Don't you have work to do?"

"Wha? Oh yeah work I'll just he gestured away and stumbled over to Katar sitting down just as the lights went out before flickering back on. Zaor didn't bother them again for the naughty/nice lists so obviously turning everything off and then on worked. Ievos tried not to feel smug about saving Christmas and getting the girl in the space of five minutes, however that didn't really work so he concentrated on the countdown to his date. That helped a lot, it even distracted him fro the congratulations he was receiving and he almost forgot about the chocolates he was given. Almost.
