Chapter 25- why did she left me?

It was night time and manan were sleeping in eachother arms when nandini's sleep broke as she was thirsty.

She got up and saw the water jug empty so she went to kitchen to fetch water.

She drank water and was about to go back when she saw the door to garden area open.

Nan: itni raat ko garden kintaraf ka door kaise khula hai.

She went towards garden and was about to close the door when she saw raj sitting there looking at the sky with a photo frame.

She went towards him.

Nan: uncle aap soye nahi are you ok.

Raj gets startled with her voice but calmed down to see nandini there.

Raj: oh it's you.

Nan: aap theek hai uncle

Raj: ha main theek hu.

Nandini looked at the photo frame in his hand. Raj followed her gaze and saw her confused face seeing the photo frame.

Raj: she's manik's mom.

Nandini nodded.

Nan (hesitantly): can I... Um.. I mean can I see

Raj forwarded the frame to her.

Nan: she was beautiful!

Raj: I know she was the most beautiful lady in this whole world.

Nan: you loved her alot na.

Raj: I still love her alot but.

Saying this he stopped and bend down his head.

Nan: you can share uncle if you're comfortable. I know I am just a stranger but.

Raj: no beta you are a part of the family now you are not a stranger.

Nandini smiled.

Nan: so we should share our sorrows and happiness with the family right so you can tell what's in your heart.

Raj sighs and moved at side to make space for nandini to sit. She sat there.

Raj: I still love her alot but I failed her. I failed to take care of her manu I failed as a father. She must be very angry with me that I didn't care for her manu.

Saying this a lone tear escaped from his eyes.

Nandini placed her hand on his hand.

Nan: no uncle don't say like that you are not failed it's just that you

Raj: I know beta it's my fault I left manik when he needed me the most I was busy with my own grief.

Nan: no uncle you also lost your love don't blame yourself only it was a mistake from both the sides and now you have to try to mend your relation with manik.

Raj: no beta it's very late now.

Nan: uncle it is said better late than never right atleast try toh kijiye. You know uncle manik loves you so much it's just he is angry with you. Ek baar gussa khatam ho jaega toh saari narazgi bhi khatam ho jaegi. Aap aise haar nahi maan sakte.

Raj smiled seeing nandini's believe. He kept his hand on her head.

Raj: god bless you beta. Manik is very lucky that he got you as his life partner.

Nandini smiled.

Raj: but mujhe ek shikayat hai tumse.

Nan (hesitantly): wh.. what uncle?
