Still Beverly's P.O.V.

With the pillows surrounding us in our little fort, I decide to ask Y/n a question, "Do you want to play Truth or Dare?" I ask

"But it's just us two," Y/n looks confused, and a little bit startled

"We can still play it," I say while sitting cross-legged on the floor.

"I'll go first, Truth or dare?"

"Dare," Since I'm feeling brave and a little bit bored.

"I dare you to order me a pizza." Is that even allowed?

"Is that even allowed in Truth or Dare?"

"Absolutely," She seems super confident in herself.

"Fine, but I'm not using my money."

I call the pizza place and ask for a vegetarian pizza, and a 2-liter of Coke. It doesn't take them too long to get here, and I use Mrs. Michaud's money, with her permission, to pay for it.

"Truth or dare?"

"Truth," Of course, she doesn't want to do dare.

What's a good question I could ask her? Oh! I know! "Why do you like acting in musicals?"

She thinks for a while, as if trying to make a comprehensible sentence, "I started acting in small plays when I was younger, and when I got older I started to like singing," She looks so happy and it's fucking adorable, "and then I found out there were musical plays and I wanted to be in them,"

Wow, she really likes musicals. I wonder if I can get her to sing me her favorite song if she chooses dare.

"Truth or dare?" She tries to wiggle her eyebrows, but she can't do it right.

Laying down, I choose, "Truth," She lays down too and lies on her back.

"What's your favorite constellation?"

"I don't really have a favorite, since I don't know much about stars,"

She bolts upright after hearing that, and leaves to go get something, from her room I assume. I just sit and wait for her to come back. I heard her mumble something about a stethoscope? A little while later she comes out with a telescope and a book about constellations.

"Mom! I'm going outside to look at stars with Beverly!"

I see the glimmer in her eyes when she talks about the stars. We start walking outside and hear her mom say, "Okay Chouchou, just be careful!" I snicker at the funny-sounding nickname she has.

She turns to me, looking serious, "What's so funny Beverly?"

"It's just your nickname,"

Y/n cocks her head to the side, "Do you even know what it means?" She says, sighing.

"No, what does it mean?" I really want to know, now that she said something. Y/n shakes her head, because she doesn't want to tell. "Come on, just tell me,"

"Well, it means cabbage," Y/n starts to blush, and turns her head away from me. I need to think of a better nickname for her. Oh I know! Y/n/n is the perfect nickname for her!

Your P.O.V

Beverly seems deep in thought, and I don't know if it's because she's registering the ridiculousness of my nickname, or something else. "Are you still coming, Beverly?"

"Yeah, I'm coming," Beverly rushes to catch up with me, and- "Can we still play Truth or Dare on the roof?" -doesn't seem super focused.

"Oh, absolutely," I wasn't actually wanting to do that, but oh well.
