I check the time, and see that it's almost 2 o'clock. We were supposed to go shopping at 12 o'clock, but I must have gotten so fixated on my work, that I didn't hear my alarm ring.
I rush over to Beverly's house, because it's two hours after we were supposed to leave for the mall. Mom is paying for both of our dresses, because I wanted to surprise her, and the dresses can be fairly expensive.
I'm glad she's going, but she doesn't have a date. I hope she won't be lonely, since it is the Valentine's Day dance.
That makes me regret saying yes to Addison a little. If I hadn't said yes, than we could've gone together as friends. Still, I'm happy she's coming.
I knock on the door, and cross my fingers that Beverly opens the door instead of her dad. Her dad is the worst, and he gives me the creeps.
"One second!" Beverly yells, and then I hear her running around. I stand at the door awkwardly, waiting for her to open it.
When she finally opens the door, I'm leaning against it. I almost fall onto the floor, but Beverly catches me. I look into her strikingly blue eyes (her blue orbs AGJDYDW I'm sorry), and make a joke. "Guess I really fell for you, huh?"
She rolls her eyes. "I should let you fall on the floor."
"No." I stand up straight, so that she can't drop me. "Anyways, I came over to tell you that it's time to go dress shopping."
"Finally, what took you so long?"
I throw my hands down in fake anger. "Well I'm sorry, it's not my fault that my mom let me oversleep. Now let's go." We run downstairs, and go to the car. Mom is waiting for us, and when we get in the car, we head straight to the mall.
When we arrive at the mall, Mom goes over to the nail salon, because she wants to get a manicure while Beverly and I shop for our outfits.
First, we go to a dress shop, because we need to make sure the shoes and jewelry match. It takes a bit of searching, but we both find dresses that we like. For Beverly, it's a long pink dress, and she's just going to wear some pink sneakers.

"I'm getting you some jewelry though, and you're not allowed to refuse."
She shakes her head, and I nod mine until she says: "Okay, fine."
We link arms, and look for a dress for me. After some more searching, we find an amazing pink dress with little red hearts all over it. Then we go to a shoe shop, and find a nice pair of sandals. At the jewelry store, I pick out a cute necklace for Beverly while she's picking one out for me. It's a gold necklace with a heart. (The picture with Sophia Lillis)
When Beverly comes back, she's holding a silver heart necklace with black gems. "I thought you would like this one, it seems like your style."
"I love it!" I hug her, then we grab our bags, and go to the nail salon.
