Since Beverly doesn't get many presents, I try to find things that I own that she might like, or need.

I manage to find some of my old fantasy books, some of my old toys, and jewelry. I don't know if she'll like it, but I wanted her to have some presents. After I wrap them up, I get the presents I bought for her and get dressed in (the dress above)

Time skip of three hours

I sit up, and realize my hair is messy. I grab a brush off of my dresser, and start braiding my hair (or just brushing it if your hair is short). Since it's a special occasion, I put more than just mascara and eyeshadow. (You don't wear makeup a lot, because you're 13, but sometimes when you feel like it, you put some on)

I walk to the living room, and see that only Charles is up. Since it's the first Christmas without Calypso, I'm sad, but I'm pretending that I'm happy, so my family doesn't worry about me. And I haven't gotten to talk to him, alone, for a while, so I decide to strike up a conversation. "What's up."

"You and me."

Oh I see, a snarky comeback. "I said what, not who dipshit."

He decides to be a dumbass, and tease me. "I'm gonna have to tell on you for saying bad words."

I point my finger, and glare at him, in a teasing manner. "You wouldn't dare."

"Oh, but I would."

He says that, and I tackle him, trying to avoid the tree. As I'm about to beat him, Mom comes out of her room, so we have to stop and straighten ourselves out. Somehow, I managed to not mess up my makeup, but I have to braid/brush my hair again.

"Please remember to be well behaved at the Hanlon's today." She turns around to leave.

Shit, I didn't tell her about us taking Beverly. "Mom," She turns back towards me. "I invited Beverly to come with us."

"When did you invite her?"

Oops, I'm probably gonna get in trouble. "Yesterday."

I see Mom's eyes flash. I'm dead, so very dead. Surprisingly, her face softens and she says. "Well, I'll need to call the Hanlon's and tell them."

She leaves, probably to call the Hanlon's, and Oceane comes in the room.

"Were you guys fighting again?"

I shove Charles in front of her. He looks at her and stammers. "Um...er...no?

Oceane looks around, to make sure Mom couldn't hear, before asking, "So, who won?"

I push Charles out of the way. "I did."

"Way to go." Oceane high-fives me.

"I know." Shit, I just remembered I need to talk to Beverly. "Well, I need to talk to Beverly now, so bye."

"Why?"

"I invited her to come with us to Mike's house."

Oceane wiggles her eyebrows, and nudges me. I shove her and roll my eyes, then I leave to talk to Beverly.

As I'm walking up to her apartment door, I'm preparing what I'm going to say. Okay, I'll say, "Did your dad say you could go? If he did, then I can help you choose an outfit?" I ring her doorbell, but her dad opens it.

I awkwardly wave at him. "Hi, Mr. Marsh."

"Hello Y/n, what brings you over here today?" He smiles in a weird way.
