Even though it's New Year's Eve, I still have detention. It's my first one, but since Henry is probably going to be there, I feel a little safer?

Dad drives me to school. "I'm still disappointed that you got a detention."

Seriously? I say one cuss word, and I'm in so much trouble. "Well, it's not my fault that Miss Thomas hates me."

Dad sighs, "Just try to behave." disappointment clearly present in his voice.

"Fine." I step out of the car, and slam the door. Stomping into school, like a child, I accidentally run into James Bates.

He stumbles a bit, but regains his balance. "Watch where you're going bitch!"

I just walk off, trying to avoid getting in a fight. Making my way to the gym, I walk past Tozier. Wow. I wonder what he did to get in trouble. He probably made another dumbass joke, or cussed out a teacher. I'm not in the mood to talk to anyone, so I keep my head down as I enter the gym. I sit on a bench that's really far back. Someone sits next to me, but I don't look over until they put their arm around me, which makes me tense.

I turn to face the person. "What the fuck are you doing!" When I see their face, I realize that it's just Henry. He still scares me, so I stay tense. "Damn you Henry, you scared me."

"That was the point babe." He laughs.

That's sooo funny. I can't stop laughing. "Maybe if you were less of a dickhead, people might like you. And don't call me babe, or I will punch you."

He shrugs. "Well maybe I don't want people to like me. And I'll call you whatever I want to, babe."

I push his arm off of me. "Just leave me alone." I move down to the bench where Tozier is sitting. I turn around to look at Henry, and I point my pointer and middle fingers at my eyes, then at him.

Mr. Schuester starts talking. "Okay everyone, time for detention! You all did something wrong, and that's why you are here. I hope you use this time to reflect on your mistakes, and become a better person."

Seriously Mr. Schuester? You sound like an overly happy teacher from a book or something. I can't believe he's my Drama teacher. I roll my eyes at him as he continues: "I will be putting you in teams of three." He points at some people, but he doesn't say my name, so I don't pay attention, until he points at me, Tozier, and fucking James Bates. "...and last, but not least, Miss Michaud, Mr. Tozier, and Mr. Bates will be cleaning off graffiti in the boy's restrooms." I raise my hand. "Yes Miss Michaud?"

"I'm not a boy, so why am I cleaning their bathrooms?"

"It was the last assignment on the list, and you're in the last group."

"Okay, whatever." I head off to catch up with Tozier and Bates. Since neither one of them grabbed the cleaning supplies, which are very heavy. They are already going inside the bathroom when I get there. "Well thanks for helping me." They both ignore me, so I put the bucket down and start cleaning.

Tozier realizes that the cleaning supplies are in the bathroom, and nudges Bates to tell him to start cleaning as well. I'm in one of the stalls,  and I see something written about Beverly. It's something about how she's a slut, so I wipe it off as quickly as I can.
