Two That Are One

Fire

Rey: For a moment everything went silent, and then when I looked up it was Ben.

Finn: Kylo Ren?

[Finn said standing, as I nodded no wary of his expression, it was still inquisitive.]

Rey: Ben.

Finn: How?

Rey: We force connected across space and time.

Finn: Did he try anything? Take advantage of you?

[He said moving closer to me in concern, as I sternly said.]

Rey: No.

[Nodding he moved to my side, leaning his back on the rock.]

Finn: Okay, continue.

Rey: I locked eyes with him.

[Shuddering slightly, tears were starting to run as I said.]

Rey: I saw so much pain and heartbreak, which is by far no excuse...

[I couldn't see his face which made it worse.]

Finn: But?

[Looking straight at the hut, I uttered out.]

Rey: But I saw light in him, it was small, almost meaningless.

Finn: And it was still there.

Rey: So the first words I spoke were that he wasn't alone.

[Standing up, I started to lean on the rock myself.]

Finn: What did he say back?

Rey: Neither are you.

Finn: Then what?

[Seeing it as clear as day now, I reached my hand out like I did that day.]

Rey: I reached out my hand to him, and he exposed his own, reaching his to mine.

[Closing my fist I said.]

Rey: We touched fingertips, and I saw a glimpse of his future, clear as this sky.

Finn: What was it?

[As Finn turned to look at me, and we locked eyes.]

Rey: He would not bow to Snoke.

Finn: And did he?

Rey: No...

[I whimpered slightly, as he took me into a hug.]

Finn: That's good enough for me.

Rey: What?

Finn: Sure I'm not thrilled you fell for Kylo Ren but...

[He said pulling away.]

Finn: You were able to reach him, and that sounds like the Rey I know.

Rey: Finn...

[Tears were flowing out of my eyes, but I was smiling, they were happy ones.]

Finn: Now please don't cry, your gonna make me cry.

[Laughing together, I hugged him again, as he got a beep from his transponder.]

Rey: Go, they need you.

[As I pulled away.]

Finn: Thank you for trusting me.

Rey: Thank you for listening.

[We smiled together, as he ran back toward the rebel base. Now that I was emotional, I needed to sleep, as I walked back into the hut. Pulling the curtain closed for the door, I kicked off my shoes and climbed into bed. Placing my lightsaber on the dresser, I hugged my chest slightly, before falling alseep.]

Knock Knock

[I rose up out of the bed, as a figure pushed aside the curtain to come in, I reached for my lightsaber but pulled my hand back to see Ben. I stood up as he walked closer to me.]

Rey: Ben-

[He cut me off with a kiss, hugging me closer to his chest, before pushing me down onto the bed. My head was telling to evacuate, be smart and kick him off. But my body didn't want it to stop, his breathe was warm, and his touch was gentle. He kissed me a bit deeper before pulling back, locking eyes he said.]

Ben: Why did you let me die?

[And that's when I started to panic, as his lightsaber was in my hand, aimed toward his chest. I couldn't move as it ignited straight through.]

Rey: No! Ben...

[His body fell limp, as my hands started to move up, lightsaber included.]

Rey: No! No!

[Because I knew where it was going, but I couldn't stop it either.]

Fulfill your destiny, grandaughter.

Rey: No!-

[As it went through his head, I screamed awake, panting heavily. I was in a cold sweat, as Leia walked over to me. I started to speak but she held her hand out not to, placing my lightsaber in my right hand, as she closed my fingers over it.]

Leia: Go save my son.

[I couldn't argue, as I took the farthest X-wing insight and flew up into the atmosphere. I should think this through, where would Ben be? To make an example of...

Starkiller Base

The biggest failure of the First Order, they'll execute him there. Pressing the engine button, I tapped the in the coordinates, before pushing the lever up to go into lightspeed. Pulling it down, I dropped out of lightspeed, in front of the whole fleet. In the event I don't get blown up in the next few seconds, I'm hoping a certain cocky someone will transmission me. And sure enough, it's beeping, as I tapped it.]

Hux: What do you hope to gain rebel scum? You are outgunned and outmatched-

Rey: My name is Rey, and I'm sure in the midst of your execution, a Jedi could be very relaxing to kill.

Hux: Very well, come aboard.

[I landed in the bay, holding my hands up and away from my lightsaber. Hux took my lightsaber, as stormtroopers handcuffed my hands behind my back, taking me to the cells. Throwing me in, my side hit the metal, as they closed the door.]

Hux: You will join each other in death, how quaint.

[As they left, I looked behind me to see Ben, but he was unconscious. To be expected, his wounds look grave. Crawling over to him, I stopped, cause I didn't know what to say.]

Exhales

[He woke as I felt him in the force again, he looked up at me.]

Ben: I'm hallucinating again, great...

[That's a start.]

Rey: No, I'm very real.

[I said smirking, before looking around.]

Rey: Although, I didn't think this through enough though...

[My expression darkened, as my breathing quickened.]

Ben: Rey?-

Rey: Who do you think you are! Protecting me! What about you?!

[His mouth was agape, as I scoffed getting on my feet.]

Rey: Leaving me to watch you die!

[I said glaring deep in his eyes.]

Rey: How could you possibly see that as helping me!

[As my voice broke, he stood up, his hands in the back like mine.]

Rey: If you really want to help me, then let me help you!

Ben: I'm sorry...

[I can't stay mad at him when he makes that soft pug face like that.]

Rey: Don't be...

Inhales

[I breathed slow, cooling back down, as I said.]

Rey: Cause we're going to escape.
